I placed an order on a Saturday in August and paid online. After 2 hours of waiting for it I called the restaurant and they said it's coming. I waited, called again an hour later and they said they're busy but my order is coming, I asked whether they are certain since it's nearing closure time as per their trading hours but I was still assured that my pizza would be delivered to me. The pizza did not arrive and I went to the store the following day to request a refund because in the order I had also included a 10% tip for the driver, like I usually do. Upon arriving there it was discovered that a different driver accepted the tip but did not deliver the pizza and it could not be traced as to who the driver was. I spoke to the manager and she offered me a pizza; I declined, insisting on the refund. She said she's reporting the matter on the customer care WhatsApp group, however since it's a Sunday they will take time to respond and that the refund will refelect in a while. I left, and after a few days I called customer care who assured me that the refund would be processed in 14 business days but if that had not been done I should return to the restaurant. So I waited, yet nothing reflected. It's been over a month now since the incident occured and here I am now at the restuarant to follow up. I'm speaking to the same manager and it seems like she cannot track what has happened to the refund request, she is unable to even recover the conversation that she had with customer care on that day. I am currently at the restuarant waiting for her as she is waiting for customer care to respond to her follow up. Perhaps my calm demeanour has betrayed how regretful I am but I will no longer be a patron of a place that has so much disorder. Read moreI ordered a pizza at 16:22, at 17:35 I called because it was over an hour without hearing anything from the store. The lady I spoke to took my details and told me she’ll investigate and give me a call back, 30 mins passes without any communication from the store. I then call again for the second time at 18:00, I speak to a lady and explain I have been waiting for an order for over 2 hours now and she said my order was out with the driver and that I should expect it within 5 mins. I call again at 18:08 only to discover the order was still in store, I ask to speak to the manager and the lady told me the manager was busy because they’re having a busy night, I was so shocked at this comment because I’m also a paying customer that has been inconvenienced by this delay. I did not receive any phone calls to apologise for the delays or a notification to tell me there would be delays, instead I dealt with poorly trained staff that referred to me as “lovie”, the staff has poor telephone etiquette and no sense of urgency at all. The lady kept saying she’s not sure what happened as if that’s what I want to hear after having waited since 16:22. I received the order at 18:30, I was more upset at how the situation was handled more than the pizza being late. The first time the driver said wait outside, I stood there for 20 Minutes in the cold after already waiting an hour for my food. Then he has no card machine. The driver calls me an hour later again I must wait outside for him he’ll be 5 minutes. Again takes 15-20 minutes to arrive for me to pay. Then he wants to ask me for a tip ??? When I now called to find out about my order, the solution I got was go outside and look for him. Haibo. We also have things to do at home other than search for a lost driver, and to keep waiting in anticipation for his arrival.
I called again after 40 MINUTES from the last call. To hear they transferred my order to Newton Park because I’m closer to them and they need to confirm. I’ve been ordering from the same place every time now it’s too far sommer 😂 hai it’s 6 minutes from me.
After 1 hour and 45 minutes newton park Debonairs calls to say it will almost be ready- let me say I do not blame newton park. For all I now my order was transferred there long after ordering initially from Rink Street.
