Bought a fresh cream cake on the 1st of April 25. Went directly home. Cut 4 pieces of the cake for the family, first bite we took we all said the cream is sour. Okay, I understand such things happen, but the attitude of the manager on duty I'm not impressed with. He told us that he baked 50 of these cakes since 3am and this is the first complaint. Then he touched the cake to feel if it is still cold- and is was. Then he tasted the cake and said nothing is wrong with the cake. So a family of 4 and all said the cake is sour, we have bought the same cake multiple times, we know how the cake should taste, and what we got isn't the same. We bought the whole cake back, even the pieces we cutted, so we are not taking chances by getting a new cake for free. Then the manager said he will give us a new cake but he won't take the cake back again if something was wrong. As is we are going to eat a whole cake and then say something is wrong, again, we gave him the cake back with only 4 bites out of the cake. In my opinion - that isn't customer service. Read moreThe carrot cake that I bought for myself was more sour than amasi milk and felt stuck in my throat like I had swallowed putty what I can imagine. Not even my dog wanted to eat that. Please seriously improve that recipe; let the top icing at least have some sweetness. The caramel cup is alright; it tastes like canned caramel, but the cream is good, and the base is sweet but too dry. The parking needs improvement; maybe parking at the back would help. Construction workers need to grind at the back if possible, as the dust in the cement will damage cars with a clear coat due to its high pH (alkaline nature) and asphalt contamination. If that gets damaged, it could cost R40,000. Trust me, I know; it's my game. Your menu prices are reasonable, and the staff is nice, and the front layout is nice. Someone in business have creative mind. Overall, I'll say it's average because the Swiss roll was good—not too dry and not too damp, with a flavor profile just right.

We were not phoned at any point in time that there was an issue before hand. They did not take her number down to contact her if any issues such as this arose No EFT or banking details exist anywhere on their social media platforms
