Dear Sir/Madam

First of all I would like to clarify that my profession has nothing to do with the service nor the food we received last night and that was a highly offensive remark made on your behalf due to your lack of respect.

I have work in the food industry abroad and local for more then a decade, and there are certain standards that remain.

My reference to your front of house staff being uneducated was in context regarding your menu - Fisrt off all of if something is out of stock (a term refered to as 86) it should have been mentioned upon her handing out the menu - which would not have lead to an expection of a dish or beverage being available when it was not.

Secondly she was unable to answer simple questions regarding the menu and how the food is prepared nor was she able to describe the taste as she informed us that she has not eaten the food herself.

There are also sanitation standards that needs to be considered when handling food such as the use of trays when serving food as well placing food on the table - not standing at the top of the table and leaning over a guest to put a bowl down - nobody was expecting 5 star service but these are normal rules that should apply in any restaurant.

When I approached you regarding the extra add on of olives you did not have the decency to walk over to me and talk to me, but rather shout at me from inside the kitchen as I was standing in the other side of the counter.

Nobody asked you to change a dish but mearly add on - as your menu states.

Should you wish for people not to add or change anything I suggest you amend your menu to be more specific.

As for the preporation of the food being out of stock that has nothing to do with me or how long it takes you to prepare the food as it comes down to management as the following day was also a public holiday which means that advance preporation should have been made to accommodate this busy time of the year.

We were not able to enjoy a meal together and we had no other choice but to eat the food (adding salt and pepper plus olive oil - which was needed) as it was all ready late in the evening and other places were fully booked.

I no longer wish to engage in social media conflict with you, as not only was our staff dinner spoilt but your comments were infuriating and upset my...

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY DIATRY RESTRICTIONS!!!!! eg vegan, vegetarian, kosher, halal etc. I visited the restaurant recently and ordered a vegan cheese pizza expecting that my dietary choices would be respected as they go out of there way to list vegan and vegetarian dishes. All was good until my food came. The VEGAN pizza I ordered had a slice of bacon in the middle. I immediately asked why there was bacon in my VEGAN pizza to which the waiter replied “it must of fell in by accident”. Now I’m all for mistakes and forgiveness but to hear that meat was kept so close to what should be a fully vegan dish is ludicrous to hear and that the chef isn’t interested enough to make sure the vegan dishes are prepared correctly and properly. This was utterly disappointing but what was worse was the waiter’s attitude. She seemed not to care and wouldn’t even offer me any sort of alternative, so me being the person to rather go off and get mad on reviews rather than in person calmly brushed aside the piece of bacon and told the waiter not to worry about it to which she replied with a snarky and honestly rude comment saying “I hope the plants will forgive us all” excepting a laugh but the table was dead silent. What’s even worse than that is the what I suspect to me the owner apologised to a couple that waited 1 hour for there pizza when we waited 2 HOURS for our pizza yet she did not apologise to me for the dietary mess up. I don’t suspect this comment will go anywhere and 100% percent expect the owners to reply with “sorry that happened to you” instead of making actual changes and that is why I will be reporting the restaurant to the city health and diet association next week where my...

My family & I were so excited to try this authentic Italian restaurant as stated, after the close to non-existent food culture in PE. I asked a short-haired,Italian waitress(presumably the owner) for a recommendation before ordering and her response was ‘Everything is good!’ After being left to our own devices to order, we settled on the lasagne(x3) pizza(x2) and seafood pasta. My seafood pasta was a weak 3/10. The pasta wasn’t fully cooked, the seafood(muscles, clams and calamari) tasted rubbery & bland (frozen packet) The prawns weren’t cleaned or deveined to my dismay. My Mum’s lasagne was burnt on the top and dry all the way through. Our friends meal was mush. There was no taste or flavour in this dish besides tomato. My sister’s pizza was watery and the bacon not fully cooked through. We had to remove the bacon and send it back to be cooked. The waitress-owner mentioned that the bacon is added to the pizza and in the oven for only 90 seconds. A minute and a half to cook bacon ? She also found out that under the pizza was burnt black. The waitress then started drinking wine(7pm) and walking around the eating area,to which another waitress took over serving us and our table. There is no kiddies menu or portion and I wouldn’t recommend anything on this menus as we even had 1 dessert to share, the tiramisu. Old ice-cream was used(where frozen hard icicles had formed in the middle). Not fresh that’s for sure. A complete waste of money. Upon reading up further on this restaurant, they have moved from Jeff’s Bay to PE. I now...

If the dough is right then, verily, will all else follow. Wise words, mine actually. At Quitschys they know this and the pizza arrives at the table displaying a crust with a well risen, slightly irregular edge. The bite is gently crusty and chewy, the flavour creamy and rich. My topping was carbonara with lots of bacon and an oven cooked egg to finish it off. There are plenty of other more adventurous toppings. I think I'l go for the one with chips and boerewors (traditional South African farmer style sausage) next time. The lasagne with the home made pasta sheets was great. The side salad big and crispy. Go for the house wine at R95. We had the white and it was pretty alright. Our waiter was efficient and friendly.

Authentic little gem of an Italian Restaurant. Fresh Lasagna, and fresh Pesto made before your eyes 😍 Molto bene! And the pizza (we had Margherita) was super, felt like I was in Italy again!. Owners and chefs are real Italian and so nice!! Quitschy’s house wine very good too. Thank you, grazie mille ❀ Want to reiterate how authentic and delicious the food is. A favourite place! Their Margherita the Queen pizza is no ordinary pizza. It’s the best. Had it with classic Campari and lemonade 🇼đŸ‡č😁 molto deliziosoâŁïžđŸ«¶đŸ»

Ok. Get this. The food is wonderful. We had a table of 12 or so, and none went hungry or waited for service. Staff were attentive and able to ensure everyone felt at ease, the owners friendly and warm. The antipasti selection felt never ending, and because it was so good I thought there no need to order mains. However, my lasagne was light and deliciously Italian. I tried the gnocchi too. Brilliant. About 7 pizzas later, all I can say is try this place... bring friends.
