Bootlegger Olivedale — Restaurant in Gauteng

Bootlegger in Olivedale is an amazing restaurant ! The vibe is super chilled, The staff are friendly and the management is simply outstanding ! The restaurant is so well organised and very clean , the waiters immediately assist and take you to your table. A week ago we went there and one of the waiters made a bloops with our order the waiter panicked and called the manager for help the manager came at once to assist he was so helpful and resolved the matter within minutes , both waiter and manager were very apologetic and professional. The manager was so helpful and friendly he came to check up on us and was very caring and understanding . I was there today with my 17yr old son & his friend. The only time we saw a waiter was when he took the drinks order & brought the drinks & when i paid i had to call him. We gave the food order at the same time that he brought the drinks. Someone else brought the food.

It took almost 30mins to get 2 lattes & a chocolate milkshake. The food took about 45mins. 2 steak egg & chips & 1 vegetarian burger. When the food arrived it was luke warm. I asked for no rocket on the burger & it was still on the burger. The teens steaks were a plain steak, not even a sprinkle of salt or any basting with cold eggs & the chips looked like its been laying around for days. Very disappointed in the quality of food & service. Would not recommend...

Was so disappointed in Bootlegger. I really wanted to like it. Their coffee looked so good in pictures but sadly that's where it ends. The waitress insisted the coffee was good and strong but... The coffee is so weak, and when we asked for extra espresso to put in our cup of basically just hot water, it took another ten minutes to arrive and even then still tasted watered down. We absolutely hated the coffee - didn't even finish. The prego roll also came so highly recommended but we ended up scraping off all the "prego sauce" because it was basically BBQ sauce and tons of minced garlic. So gross, no flavour. So sad.

It was definitely a waste of money and I'll never go back even if...
