What a delightful evening. We were a party of 7 having a business dinner. Warm friendly entrance with the most hospitable staff. We were treated to complimentary sherry and rolls. The owner was amazing. Spent a lot of time at our table advising us on the dishes and then served us with the best of the best of his wines. Every meal at our table was enjoyed and was accompanied with side servings of veggies. The Belgium chocolate cake with spun sugar was yummy and so was the creme brûlée however the Eaton mess was disappointing.

Amazing with phenomenal dishes and a cozy, romantic atmosphere. The award they received in 1994 as the best international restaurant is relevant to this day. The owner takes pride in the art that is served to his patrons and he takes an active interest in the people that walk into his Inn. We were blown away and will most assuredly be back.

I've been here several times and not yet had a bad experience. The staff are attentive and the food arrives pretty quickly. The atmosphere is very good. Not a place for kids though.

As a frequent visitor to South Africa this is a restaurant that I make time to visit. It's not a cheap restaurant and for the quality and menu I'd not expect it to be. The owners come to each table and go through the specials and WOW are the specials. On more than one occasion I have been forced to indulge in more than one starter and more than one desert. Don't expect a rushed meal and the staff watch so you get you food when your ready not when the kitchen is ready. The staff are well trained in the art of service and do themselves and the owners credit. Often we have been the last to leave having sat and had liquors and coffee and good conversation and never been pushed to leave. Neither I or my guests have ever had a bad experience here or the need to send anything back or been unhappy with our meals. I'm just sorry I can't...

Food so bad it was funny. I took my lady out for what we thought would be a night with great food. Everything was terrible except the coffee. I don't know what has happened since the last time we went there, but the food is the exact opposite of what it used to be. The duo mushroom soup reminded me of blended mushrooms heated in a microwave, stuffed calamari had the texture of rubber bands. The mains were just as bad. Instead of making a scene we opted to rather have a good laugh instead as it felt like a joke was being played on us. I hope that management do something urgent to rectify the quality of their food. We will not be going back unless we feel like and...

My family and I had dinner at Coachman's Inn last Saturday. We drove up to Jhb from Vereeniging in search of a fine dining experience for a special occasion. I was looking for an olde worlde, throw back experience to the super fine restaurants of years gone by. That is exactly what I found. Elegant, quiet ambience. A personalised service, great food and 30 year old bottle of red I am still dreaming about. The owner clearly has a substantial collection of very well cared for wine, and I so appreciate his willingness to share it with his patrons. It was outstanding. Thank you for a lovely...
