Denver Spur — Restaurant in Gauteng

If you've been to one you've been to them all, right? There's usually new trainees at this Spur which can be a bit of a down side but overall the food is usually very good, no complaints there. The patrons are casual in the theme inspired atmosphere and everybody seem to enjoy the eager spirit with which the waiters wait on the tables. There is a large "play canyon" for the kids with supervision and a verity of choices on the menu for them. This is also one of the few restaurant chains that still offers a smoking area for dining. They usually have specials related to a specific day of the week with additional seasonal offerings. The blue cheese sauce is extraordinary and better than any other homemade or commercially produced sauce, I would definitely recommend it with any of the fine cuts of steak. The famous "pink" sauce is also one of the reasons some of the patrons return over and over again. Putting aside the fact that they (Spur in general) still sell the best flame grilled rack of pork ribs in the country. We go there regularly and just love the new restaurant, well remembering the old setting next to the covered parking. However, during our last visit the medium steak I ordered was rare and very bloody. Wian, the waitron, did offer to take it back to the kitchen, but he also said that the chef wasn't the regular chef. I thus decided to eat my side-orders and to bring my steak home, where it made a perfect addition to a meal we prepared the following day.

I know I could have had the meat taken back to the kitchen, but I didn't have much faith in the chef to not ruin an otherwise perfect piece of meat.

One of the other staff at some stage also came up to our table and enquired if all is well blah blah as waiters normally do. I didn't pay much attention to him as Wian was our waitron.

I later found out that this other gentleman was in fact a manager of some sort.

Both Wian and the other gentleman glossed very lightly over an offer of doing something to set matters right.

Usually i dont complain but after today i will never visit Denver spur again.

Management sitting right next to bathroom on phones not checking to see if its clean or not. Mens bathroom floor is all wet. Ladies bathroom had papers on the floor. During the whole visit at your branch not once was a table visit conducted

No table visit was conducted because being on the phones is more important. CUSTOMER SERVICE STARTS AT THE FRONT DOOR I love spur but management today doesnt know how to do their jobs properly..

As for my waiter Buni for you i want to say thank you for all your effort that was put in during our visit. ( Precious) kitchen staff member give her a raise she knows how to make a snitzel.

Even beter make her a manager because it seeems she loves what she is doing.

And for the lady manager we could see she was active on the floor assisting the waitrons
