The decor and variety of cakes was lovely especially for taking photos. But this was quickly overshadowed by the noisy atmosphere at 08h30 in the morning. Not caused by overcrowding but rather being seated where they juice and crush and make lots of noise every so often with a machine. Strange seating choice considering other tables were open.

Another issue we encountered was only receiving one menu for four people so we were practically fighting when deciding what to order. The option was given to scan the code but to read it online. But if you can see we want to just see a print out just give us an extra one that is close by.

Lastly an issue I see also in other reviews is the hostess on the day. Our dining experience was pleasant as the waitress was willing to assist often and even take photos but when the hostess came~ we quickly felt unwelcome as we were told that our time was over and we need to leave as people are waiting. Understanding that the place is crowded but when you are interrupting so rudely in a clearly emotional discussion. It takes some sensitivity to take 5 min before forcing us on our way. Most client come here to celebrate something big but don't cut it short when you can see we are still busy and were planning on ordering more.

This restaurant is creative and has so much potential but keeping the atmosphere appropriate to hear conversations is kind of important and being cognisant of keeping your customers welcome is also worth to note as we and another table left rushed and unhappy.

The cakes we had was definitely interesting and worth trying... But mind over matter the way you treat people is what people also remember when catching up with people who drove over an hour to experience the service. Considering that, it can be disappointing. A little patience and friendliness...

Would have been a 5 star review if our reservation and tea party wasn't botched.

Overall the vibes and appearance of the place is wonderful, the food is well prepared and delicious and the drinks are good and the staff was friendly.

I would have to say for this trip I was still disappointed overall in the day since our booked tea party had not been reserved. We booked the Tea party in January for my mom's birthday on the day we visited. She was extremely excited to go to her very first tea party, she couldn't stop talking about it the whole week leading up to it. When we arrived however we were told that the conformation call we got on Friday said we "would think about it". Which was nonsense, we confirmed the tea party and the price for it with the person online and hung up excited and assured. There was also said to have been a call on Wednesday which we back check the phone call log and records and no missed or unknown numbers were shown all day Wednesday. So a very disappointing alternative had to be figured out and the rest of our plans for the day to be altered because we didn't drive all the way just to have coffee for my mom's birthday.

We did receive the coffee for free as an appology for the inconvenience and misunderstanding, under regular circumstances it would have been great but the way my mother's face fell when we were told we couldn't have the tea party because it wasn't prepared for us absolutely broke my heart and made me feel horrible.

If you do chose to do any booking or want to have a tea party or party of sort, learn from my misfortune and rather call and conform yourself, double check and take the name of the person you are on...

A Divine High Tea Experience at Goddess Café - Waterkloof

What was originally planned as my baby shower turned into a truly unforgettable high tea celebration, complete with my newest little blessing, who decided to arrive a bit earlier than expected! After rescheduling, we were warmly welcomed by the Goddess Café team, who embraced the change and made sure my daughter could be part of the experience she clearly didn’t want to miss out on.

From the moment we arrived, we were transported into a dreamy, whimsical space, the décor is out of this world. As someone who absolutely adores pink, I was in heaven! Every corner of the café was a visual delight, perfectly styled and irresistibly charming.

The staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. They ensured every detail was just right and made us feel so special. Their service went beyond expectations and added a lovely personal touch to our day.

The high tea itself was exquisite, each item beautifully presented and utterly delicious, with a perfect balance of sweet and savory.

Goddess Café in Waterkloof is more than just a place to eat, it’s a whole experience. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply enjoying a moment of indulgence, I highly recommend visiting. Thank you to the amazing team for creating a magical memory for me, my daughter, and our family. A special thank you to Lindah, Christinah, Catherine who went out of their...

This was my first time visiting the Goddess Cafe. I would recommend it highly for its opulence and decadent food presentation. Definitely a high tea place to catch up with loved ones. It is my understanding that one books a table and has a time limit of about 2hours reservation. Parties such as Bachelorette and baby showers are also thrown here but are separate from the main restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful. I commend them for this as they made it an absolute pleasure to be there. We enjoyed coffee and a treat for breakfast and the average price for one person was R110. My one critique of this Cafe is the space, the tables are very closely packed to one another and it makes it difficult for the waitresses and clients to maneuver around tables without bumping others. I would not have minded a seat outside with a heater lamp instead of having to move my chair into a cramped corner to avoid people bumping into me as they passed. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would visit again. In the centre the Goddess Cafe can be found across Pizza Vino.

Lovely place all pink.. run by the goddesses of Joburg. The food was good but give them some quality time to prepare even if you have ordered just a regular egg and becon 🥓. The presentation is good and all pink and flowery. Instragram freaks would love to be at this place. We were lucky to be on time and got a table without reservation as this place got full immediately in the morning itself. We were there around 8:30 am. I do recommend this place. Also as the spring is here you would love to explore Jacaranda Trees, the purple 💜 flowers, which are there just for few more weeks. Explore the lanes around and you will be surprised to see the canopy full of them. We went there from Johannesburg so we were surprised to see so many of them 💜💜 It's pet friendly too and I did see the menu for pets and water bowl for them 🐕😁 Also laddy Emma (108) you were amazing but please give us poached egg instead of fried, as ordered :)
