McDonald's Maponya Mall — Restaurant in Gauteng

Extremely terrible service from a cashier at your branch at Maponya Mall who refused to give me her name. No one could assist with this request.

I waited to be assisted which I obviously saw a lady assisting a client. No problem. The problem started when she just randomly pointed the self help machine which I smiled at her and refused to use the machine as I try avoid using it for health purposes as I have sickly child in the house and would hate to contaminate her and for the fact that it would be pointless to use a machine where at the end of the day I am paying cash and would still need to exchange funds with the cashier, I saw this exercise pointless and a waste of time.

The lady looked at me and said "We will see who will help you" in a very rude and disturbing way. This came as a shock to me and I said to her that I will buy what I am here for which is desert for the family which we do every Sunday. I wouldn't leave the comfort of my home to have arguments about how I would like to transact for my goods.

She then went on shouting at me and vowed not to assist me. I then asked a gentlemen near by to assist who too was reluctant to assist. When I told them that I will report the terrible service, only then did he proceed to assist me.

The last thing that I would want to do is to have a back and forth with a female cashier, being that women in South Africa are always abused and treated unfairly in every eco system of society. It may be that she had a bad day and I just happen to bare the brunts of it but it totally unacceptable to be treated like this just for ice cream on a Sunday evening.

I have been a MC Donald's loyal customers for years and I can prove it.

The pathetic service received is embarrassing for me, to have an employee tarnishing the image of a successful business with fantastic products being brought down to such a level, having a cashier shouting across the floor for bystanders and customers to see and hear is in called for.

It is probably my fault to go buy ice cream in clothes I've been doing the garden in because clearly people get classed according to what they wear at Mc Donald's...

I was treated badly today when I came in to order at their franchise. I ordered and waited for almost 2hrs for an order that seemed to never arrive. I went the three times to ask whether the order is out I got the same response RUDELY so, " your order isnt ready", "We never called out your order" . I never left the restaurant, I kept on checking the screen to see if my number will pop up and I was sitting close enough to hear if they called my number. They said they repeated my order alot of times and they even went out to go look for me 😂REALLY!! how do you even know I was the one with that order number and how did you even pass me knowing I'm the one😂. Wow this is the second time I get poor customer service particularly at this branch. The service and atmosphere is so unwelcomimg, I mean do better. I also wanted a refund but they shoved the food right at me, COLD FOOD for that matter. I definetly don't recommend this branch even the ladies I was with when this all happened made remarks and comments on how uncomfortable and poorly they treat customers there, I will never come to this branch ever or even recommend it to anyone who doesn't want just food but to expirience a good customer service. So, I've been to this McDonald's before. Didn't have this problem before. The staff is nice and courteous, most of them at least and the restaurant was clean. My order took literally 10 minutes to get to me. This wouldn't be so terrible if they didn't put my two double cheeseburgers on my tray 3 minutes into my order. Yes, my cheeseburger just sat there, taunting me. I was waiting for two coffees which I understand can take a whole 2 minutes so I don't understand what the holdup was. My fries came out 3 minutes before my coffee, meaning when we went to eat our burgers they were cold. Luckily my fries were still warm. Also, Why can't you personalize your coffee drinks when you order from the kiosk? Why did the woman give me attitude when I asked for more ketchup because she only gave me two packets for two burgers and fries. Okay and now I'll go into this part because I have no medical evidence. My fiance and I had the very same food, my fiance and I spent the next two days throwing up and contemplating a trip to the ER. We missed the Chinese New Year celebration and we missed celebrating our own Valentine's Day. 2 days throwing up and then a third day of back pain from dry heaving. Good times.
