Nando's Queens Corner — Restaurant in Gauteng

First off, I'd like to state that I am a fan of Nando's, just not this one. I suggested Nando's to a couple of friends for dinner, since I love the spicy chicken that they serve etc. After we arrived, we decided on what we wanted to order. (It wasn't a lot) I decided on a 1/4 chicken with a single side of chips (R59,00), and my 2 guests decided on the 1/4 chicken with chips and a Nando's roll (R76,00 each) The attendant asked us what we would like to drink and we added 3 buddy cokes valued at (R17,00). This should've come to R262,00, instead the attendant rang up 3 x R76,00 (one without a Nando's roll), one coke for R17,00 plus 2 additional drinks for R26,00 each. The total came to: R297,00. I do admit some fault for not double checking if she did the correct calculation, but I trusted her and did not want to make a scene in front of my guests. Only after I paid, one of my guests said that the calculation was wrong, when I tried to tell the attendant that it was wrong she proceeded to convince me that I'm wrong, when I showed her the correct calculation. I later settled for an additional coke since they didn't want to refund me with money. We went to get a seat, and waited for our meals to arrive. (When we ordered, we decided on 1 lemon and herb and 2 mild spicy flavourings for our meals.) When our meals arrived we got 3 mild flavoured chickens... In fear of a 'special order' we just decided to take what we got even though it was not what we ordered. Only one of the meals was the size of a 1/4 chicken the other two was as small as a pigeon. Ultimately it was a poor experience. Do better...

Consistently good.

I have only used this Nandos for takeaway, but I have yet to experience any problems here.

Ordering can sometimes be a bit slow/muddled, with a bit of confusion as to what I want, but perhaps I just consistently get a new staff member or something.

They do strive really hard for great service though. They are generally quick. I am unsure whether this standard stays during peak times, I imagine there will be some slow down.

Food I've seen going out for sit down looks equally as good and the service also seems good.

All our requests were not accommodated. We had asked to have the sauce either excluded or put aside from the boujee bowl and the cashier blatantly said no. We asked if the meals were prepacked or if they put the ingredients together in store, she explained that they put the ingredients together in-store, when we asked why then is it that we don't want the sauce, it's not doable. Her response was that it's the way it is. They can't and won't put the sauce aside. I can see why Pedro's is winning. Nandos has lost one of its loyal...
