Extremely Disappointed with Service at Pappachino's Sunward Park I am usually a major fan of Pappachino’s, but my recent visit to the Sunward Park location left me incredibly disappointed. We had called ahead to make a booking, and were told it was not necessary and that we could simply walk in and be seated. However, when we arrived, we were rudely informed that we had to be placed on a waiting list as they were fully booked, with three groups ahead of us. When I mentioned that we had tried to make a booking, the staff told us they don’t do same-day bookings, which would have been helpful to know when I called earlier. After waiting for what felt like an eternity to be seated, we were then left waiting another 15-20 minutes for our table to be cleaned. No one checked in with us during this time. When we finally called a waiter to ask for drinks, there was confusion between the waiters about who should assist us, and they both just walked away. It was not until another waiter, Lawrence, came to apologize that we were finally taken care of. Lawrence did his absolute best to provide good service, but it felt like the rest of the staff was uninterested in doing their jobs. To make matters worse, our daughter went to play on the jungle gym, and when she came back, her shirt was ruined with grease or oil from the equipment. This just added to the overall frustration of the evening. In the end, we decided to leave and go somewhere else for dinner. While the permanent staff seemed indifferent, Lawrence really stood out as someone who tried his best to make things right. I felt bad for him and made sure to tip him for his efforts, even though he initially refused. It is a shame that people like him do not seem to be recognized more by the management. Unfortunately, given the poor service and the overall experience, we won’t be returning...
Read moreWas there last night for a treat, I ordered chicken wings for starters, came ice cold, sent it back after waiting about 20min for the waiter to come back and trying to get the attention of the manager steward, to no avail until the waiter came back, was brought another plate, was informed that even the manager felt it and it was indeed ice cold, only after finishing my portion did I realise what was said and I was returned the exact same portion I had sent back. So i had somebody elses fingers in my food.ordered the Rockefeller burger, came with absolutely no sauce, sent it back, returned with the same burger (I cut mine in half before sending it back) with a side of soup. Called the Manager Quinton and the waiter Richard who were absolutely fantastic, swopped out the burger for something different. My bill was adjusted accordingly. My husband ordered deep fried calamrie, came with grilled calamari. Sent to back got the correct order. My daughters boyfriend ordered the chicken schnitzel. Which was absolutely delicious. Left some for take away. Throughout the rest of the evening Quinton and Richard were always checking to see if everything was still good and if we could be assisted in any way. Got home. Opened all the left over parcels, only to find the burger that I swopped out was so dry even my dog would not t it. My son in laws chicken schnitzel was swopped out for left over pap and sauce. Phoned in and complained again and was brought 2 portions of chicken schnitzel to my house, which I am so grateful for. So lesson taught always check your take ways before leaving. We have been there a few times and have never had this problem before. Everything was absolutely perfect on these occasions. Must have been new kitchen staff. Quinton was absolutely apologetic and fantastic in assisting us, and the same with our waiter...

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a recent incident that occurred at your sunward park establishment. On 16th june 2023 we sat at table 8 from around 1pm my waiter's number was 550, my 1-year-old child choked on a bone that was present in the lamb pizza we ordered. This incident was not only distressing but also posed a serious risk to my child's health and safety.
First and foremost, I want to emphasize that the well-being of my child is of utmost importance to me, and I expect the same level of concern and attention to safety from the restaurant where we dine. It is completely unacceptable that a bone was present in the pizza without any warning or indication on the menu. As a responsible parent, I take precautions to ensure my child's safety, but I cannot reasonably anticipate hidden hazards in food items when there is no disclosure from the establishment.
The lack of any explicit warning about the presence of bones in the lamb pizza raises serious concerns about the standards of food preparation and menu presentation at your restaurant. It is essential that customers are fully informed about potential choking hazards so that they can make informed decisions, especially when it comes to the well-being of their children.
Furthermore, I was dismayed by the response I received from the manager on duty when I reported the incident. Instead of showing genuine concern and empathy, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The manager's suggestion that we should have ordered from the kids menu is both unprofessional and irrelevant. The responsibility to ensure the food safety of all customers, regardless of their age, lies solely with the...
