Savannah Spur — Restaurant in Gauteng

Mtho or Mthokozisi made our day special our anniversary. Or always makes our day special we come there twice or 3 times a week because of him. He always on the ball and treats us so well amd recommends the best on the menu even though we know it like the back of our hand but he is fast in service and knows what we need before we even asks for it. Also Method is a start we love him we sometimes don’t know who to ask for when we call to prepare a table. Both came on anniversary to wish us and these 2 guys are assets. Please keep them. We were sad when they both left amd we stopped coming when they came back we came back also. Thank you for everything and making our experience at Spurs sunward always nice and great. We love it there. Keep it up guys and give the promotion...

We went for dinner at 20.30 on arrival 3 waiters and manager Sisiwe sitting at a table in the middle of the shop shouting and clapping jumping up and making such noise. I just wanted a quiet dinner with my wife. It was so uncomfortable. I asked for the manager then the lady making the noise comes to assist me... Spur is supposed to be a family restaurant.. Back in the day waiters were not allowed to sit at the client's tables especially when there are customers in the shop... Waiters weren't allowed to clean their sections especially when there were customers in the shop. I can understand if we went there at closing time... but come on at 20.30 pm this is disgusting. Spurs price's go up and their standards go...

Where does one begin with such a terrible experience?

Besides the great waitron, the rest was awful. The buffalo wings and calamari starter, the chicken was raw (picture taken). Main Course Ribs - Ribs tasted like it was washed in chlorine Main Course Cheesy Garlic prawn Steak - inbetween the steak was a piece of plastic (almost looked like a used condom in the food) to sau it was really disgusting would be an understatement.

We were offered Free waffles that tasted terrible and was served on dirty/oily plates.

Our family recommendation is to stay very far away from this Savannah Spur, food is substandard and served with dirty cutlery. What a truly disappointing...
