Hi, I ordered two Mutton bunnies and a Beans Bunny. The bunnies are of about a third of a Loaf size rather than a quarter loaf, which was a pleasant surprise. The beans bunny was pretty good and different tasting to the local south african Indian style curry, which was quite nice. As far as the Mutton bunny is concerned, the bunny was very filling with one bunny enough for both myself and my wife (and I was still nice and full after eating). We had to keep the other one for supper later. The Mutton was also very well cooked, very soft and breaks very easily. However, it was a very north Indian tasting curry and not a typical South African Indian (durban) style Mutton curry that one craves when 'cracking a Mutton bunny'. All in all, the Mutton is very filling, great value at the price since one feeds two and quite satisfactory in terms of quality of the curry and the cooking of the meat. Its just not a South african Indian style curry. So if you are a stickler for a typical durban style Mutton bunny, this bunny is not for you. But if you can't tell the difference, this bunny is great value for money and of a good quality.

Went again this past Friday and I had the Chicken Tikka (boti kebab). First off, it was very tasty, incrddibly soft and tender and quite decadent. North Indian chow done well. I ordered it hot and i must say that they did it perfectly, as it had a very slight hum to let you know that they added the chillies and died off quickly, it didn't linger and/or burn hectically at all, perfect use of chillies. The only thing I felt was that it needed just a wee bit more salt, but easily remedied by oneself. Second, the size of the tikkas were nice and big and comprised of eight altogether. The portion size is great, as one would be nice and full and be left wanting in the end (a real plus). However, the meal comes with chips, which were the skinny type and the portion size was miniscule compare to the Tikka portion mentioned above. In fact, the portion size was only enough for eating four tikkas (and that too eating them quite conservatively). In short, the portion of chips provided needed to be at least double. That said, I think to fully enjoy the meal, I would in future have to buy a portion of masala chips on the side (an extra R35). Lastly, the meal does not come with any breads and I ordered a garlic Naan at (R18ea). Like with the chips, it was only enough for four tikkas, which means that next time I would also need to order two Naan instead on one (on top the extra masala chips) to fully appreciate this meal. This means that in total, thus meal, to be fully appreciated without feeling wanting, this meal would cost me about R150 in total (if I have it with plain naan). At this price, I feel that this is a very expensive meal for one person.

We also ordered the chicken noodle and vegetable noodle. They are just okay and very average priced (compared to other places selling similar dishes). Nothing to write home about (or even review... lol) and would actually give it a miss, especially when I compare the quality and taste of the chicken szechuan noodle from Dosa Hut at the same price.

I also recently ordered the chicken biryani. The dish was okay. It was nice and had a slight butter chicken taste running through the dish, which was different but not what I was expecting. The amount of chicken provided was good and they didn't skimp in this regard. I hate when they do that. However, that said, the overall portion was okay within being enough for one person to eat and be properly full without leftovers. If you sharing the meal, you WILL be hungry again relatively quickly. This must be read in light of ghe fact that the dish costs about R110 or so (for one person). In my opinion, this is not good value for money, as, for example, the Copper Chimney Express Meal with extra rotis comes to the same price but is of greater portion sizes (and is very tasty too). All in all, I don't think this meal was good value for money, as it tasted okay, and I could have gotten tastier food elsewhere...

Disgusting service from the owner. I am so appalled by what I witnessed. He NEEDS to be REPORTED. This not apartheid times, owners should be held liable for mistreating their employees.

It is so disheartening when an owner of an establishment has no humanity towards their employees. Let alone when a customer has felt very uncomfortable on his behavior towards the young lady behind the counter. Doesn’t even care and dismissed us, definitely will not tell others to order here.

She was stocking your fridge & already attended to us that our food was on its way the owner was still preparing it. He snapped his finger towards her like she is an animal without first not ensuring if she has attended to us who is working to assist in running his establishment.

Like what, this was so...

First visit to Sharjah Indian Arabic Restaurant in Woodmead Retail Park. The small outlet accommodates a single 4 seater table inside, with six other tables out on the patio cum walkway corner, directly behind the Steers in the Food Court. Waitron, Loveness promptly took our order, and our meal was brought to our table by the chef himself in no time. Tried the Chicken Biryani, and it was really good. The Butter Chicken with Basmati rice was also quite good. Portions, especially the Biyani, were super generous. Would have been nice to have a washbasin for those who eat with their fingers, although Loveness was generous with extra wet-wipes. Food is highly...

Sharjah has lost its charm. Sharjah used to be one of my favorite restaurant for their authentic and unique style of making biryanis. The biryanis now are tossed with some wet curry, which is not so good. We ordered egg fried rice and the lady there got us a chicken fried rice. When we asked that we wanted the Egg fried rice, no chicken please. She got us the Vegetable fried rice. Highly disappointed with the food and service. Ambience - Okayish as it's eat and go restaurant Food - Quality and Quantity are not upto the mark Service - Very bad Price - High when compared to the nice restaurants. Recommendation: Still Water and Soft Drinks
