I went there with a friend for dinner. Positives: 1. The Sweet Corn cakes are quite tasty and a lot better than other branches. 2. The Creamy Peanut Curry (341) has a delicious sauce that goes well with rice and veg. I would lick my plate clean if nobody was watching 😂 Negatives: 1. Their Red Curry (305) didn't have a strong flavour and was not as spicy as expected. 2. I had chicken while my friend ordered duck. We both felt that meat was a bit tough and should have been more tender. Overall I liked the food besides a few hiccups, the place had a nice atmosphere to it and it's one of the better places to get Thai food.

Very delicious food and excellent service. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We were assisted and seated straight away, the food came quickly and very fresh ingredients. During this hard time period, the social distancing is kept up and the staff are all conscious of sanitising and keeping everything disinfected. The atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting, soft background music and very warm inside. I enjoyed my dinner and would definitely recommend for a lovely, calm evening of Chinese and Thai cuisine.

I would recommend this place for a Quick bite to eat after a Jol or just killing the Time. The Food is great and the Vibes of the place is very Chilling with Friends. How ever size of the Food Portions are just mind Blowing and for the Price you pay for it. I think its little bit unfair where you should atleast get 2 Servings for the Price of one. I would Rather go to a Place where you get a Full meal instead a 1/4 of it. R145 Rand just for that. Is just too much for a Little serving

I wanted to find out about the half price sushi(days available, times etc.), I called on Monday at 1pm. I was told that half price sushi takes place on Tuesdays, and that I should come in at 11am.

I drove to Atlasville mall on Tuesday, and I was rudely told by the manager that half price sushi takes place on Mondays. I tried showing him my call log, showing that I did call on Monday(the day before) at 1pm and was advised by a staff member to come in Tuesday 11am. He said that: "a call proves nothing" and that "his personal mobile records phone calls and that next time I should record it."

The owner overheard everything and said that not once has he ever had half price sushi on Tuesdays, and that I should "enjoy my day" sarcastically.

I would never recommend anyone going to a place where the manager speaks so rudely to customers, accusing me of lying over half price sushi and the owner allows his staff to speak rudely to customers and participates in such behaviour. This is totally unacceptable.

P.S. This took place on HUMAN...

Slightly disappointed at the miscommunication of this branch.

I planned to take my family out for the Monday & Tuesday Half Price Sushi at Simply Asia. After phoning around to various branches the Atlas Branch confirmed that they are still offering 50% off (others do 25% or not at all).

We specifically chose this branch and travelled a distance out for this deal. Upon arrival I asked the waiter again before ordering to double check that it was Half Price/50% off.

Upon receiving the bill, it was actually 25% off and as apologetic as the waiter was, we felt misled. Fortunately the ambience (candles and comfortable seating), a generator to combat load-shedding and otherwise excellent service made up for it.

We just hope that other patrons are not budgeting for the deal and are surprised with a more expensive bill than planned for.

Overall, we would go back for the sushi because the...

I've travelled to Thailand many times, I've done the cooking classes there and I've cooked Thai food at home many times It's been a decade since I ate at simply Asia. I had just been disappointed too many times. Without premeditation when I saw the sign at atlas mall I thought what the hell. Firstly the Decor is smart. Less like wimpy more like restaurant. The menu has expanded and is very interesting. They have simplified the wording and the names of many of the classics. But I guess that's understandable. I went classic. Tom yum goong. And I asked for HOT as well as some steamed rice. When I got home the soup was too sweet. The juice of one fresh lime gave it more balance. The prawns were dry and overcooked. I expected that. But hell, I enjoyed the meal. It wasn't perfect but...
