I wanted to find out about the half price sushi(days available, times etc.), I called on Monday at 1pm. I was told that half price sushi takes place on Tuesdays, and that I should come in at 11am.
I drove to Atlasville mall on Tuesday, and I was rudely told by the manager that half price sushi takes place on Mondays. I tried showing him my call log, showing that I did call on Monday(the day before) at 1pm and was advised by a staff member to come in Tuesday 11am. He said that: "a call proves nothing" and that "his personal mobile records phone calls and that next time I should record it."
The owner overheard everything and said that not once has he ever had half price sushi on Tuesdays, and that I should "enjoy my day" sarcastically.
I would never recommend anyone going to a place where the manager speaks so rudely to customers, accusing me of lying over half price sushi and the owner allows his staff to speak rudely to customers and participates in such behaviour. This is totally unacceptable.
P.S. This took place on HUMAN...
Read moreSlightly disappointed at the miscommunication of this branch.
I planned to take my family out for the Monday & Tuesday Half Price Sushi at Simply Asia. After phoning around to various branches the Atlas Branch confirmed that they are still offering 50% off (others do 25% or not at all).

Upon receiving the bill, it was actually 25% off and as apologetic as the waiter was, we felt misled. Fortunately the ambience (candles and comfortable seating), a generator to combat load-shedding and otherwise excellent service made up for it.
We just hope that other patrons are not budgeting for the deal and are surprised with a more expensive bill than planned for.
Overall, we would go back for the sushi because the...
Read moreI've travelled to Thailand many times, I've done the cooking classes there and I've cooked Thai food at home many times It's been a decade since I ate at simply Asia. I had just been disappointed too many times. Without premeditation when I saw the sign at atlas mall I thought what the hell. Firstly the Decor is smart. Less like wimpy more like restaurant. The menu has expanded and is very interesting. They have simplified the wording and the names of many of the classics. But I guess that's understandable. I went classic. Tom yum goong. And I asked for HOT as well as some steamed rice. When I got home the soup was too sweet. The juice of one fresh lime gave it more balance. The prawns were dry and overcooked. I expected that. But hell, I enjoyed the meal. It wasn't perfect but...
