Excellent establishment with a very friendly hostess - Astrid - spotless and helpful. My experience at Homestead Lake Cottage as a regular guest over the past 3 years can only be described as "Home from Home". I am a frequent traveller staying at many 4 & 5 star graded accommodation establishments and I would rate Homestead as one of the top three. I have always received 5 star treatment with excellent meals including suppers. My wife that joins me on the odd ocasion concurr.||The establishment is kept in an immaculate condition with a stunning garden and beatifull views of the Lake. Rude, uncooperative 'owner/manager. paid full amount to attend quilt festival being held close by. Without informing or consulting me, she transferred our booking to another guest house. only informed me 3 weeks prior to festival of changes that she made.
