The Baron Sandton — Restaurant in Gauteng

Great vibe and place to watch F1 with friends on Sunday 07/09, only issue was our waiter James at Sandton 011 wasn't the nicest of people. When ordering drinks initially, we asked what non alcoholic options there were because they weren't written on the menu, and he barked "what do you want?" before proceeding to tell us that all juices and soft drinks are available in a very irritated tone, when ordering food later on, the one couple was ready to order before my husband and I at our table, we asked him to come back in 2 min just so that my husband and I could finalize our orders while he took our friends (the other couple's) order, and once again in a irritated voice he asked "so is he supposed to wait before he can give the kitchen the order?" and we said no he could give the kitchen the first order, could he please just return for ours in a bit. Lol did he not just ignore us and only come back with the two plates of food for our friends, which all 4 of us ended up sharing because he didn't come back for our order. I am not a person to give bad/unrealistic reviews but this is necessary. Please read the below.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times and on all 3 occasions the waiters have nailed our bill with expensive drinks to try and boost the bill with more expensive orders.

For example: We order the first bottle of wine for R150 and then the second bottle is exact same but we are charged with the price of R350/R500 bottle when it’s evident that we sticking with the same bottle.

It is strategic by the waiters and extremely unprofessional and honestly criminal. Ofcourse when we mention the error, the staff change the bill but the fact that these chances are taken by the staff on numerous occasions tells me they are either stealing from the business or there is some management issues that must...
