I had a terrible breakfast experience at this establishment. Within minutes of posting a positive review, I witnessed the omelette chef drop the scraper utensil on the floor—and he simply picked it up without cleaning it and used it to scrape up the onions to put on my eggs. OMG! I recently moved here and have experienced much better hygiene standards in America. I paid full price for a buffet and was charged R104 for just a few pieces of toast, despite barely eating anything. When I raised my concerns with the manager, who initially appeared kind and understanding, he dismissed my feedback and told me not to leave a review. Although he even offered to prepare the food himself, I later observed the same poor hygiene practices continue. Support staff were handling food without wearing gloves, and I saw the dropped scraper being reused to add onions to the dish without being sanitized. This is completely unacceptable and far below any international hygiene standard. I left feeling sick to my stomach and unsafe—I will never return. I truly hope my money goes toward proper cleaning supplies and better training, so no one else has to experience this. Original Had breakfast at this establishment for the first time, and it was a great experience overall. The breakfast buffet was well done, and the waiters and omelette chef were fantastic. However, I noticed that the support staff handling my food weren’t wearing gloves, which was concerning. I brought it up with the manager, and he was absolutely 10 stars—genuinely kind, understanding, and proactive. Unlike some managers who just offer a blank apology, he went above and beyond, even offering to prepare the food himself.

It seemed like he addressed the issue, but later, I noticed the same thing happening again. I’m not sure if this is standard practice here, but in many places, touching customers’ food with bare hands isn’t acceptable. Because of this, what could have been a 5-star experience ended up being a 4-star. A little more attention to international hygiene standards would make this place...

The House Of Ribs Edenvale is thee worst buffet you can ever go to, we had the worst experience ever today my family and I went there today and not only did we have to wait by the entrance looking like we lost when we made a reservation for 9 people we still had to wait for them to sort out a table for us, than we had to get ourselves a waiter when they were 4 waiters by the door as you walk in doing nothing and having a big chat that was way important than the customers in store we had to get someone to serve us. Than with such a terrible first impression already we are experiencing, we had to even question why we can't even get more of what they are catering I mean it's a all you can eat yet we can't eat or fill our plates up to add onto that, the one inexperienced waiter not wanted to give my partner the wrong drink she dropped the whole Piña colada on my partners hair and dress and not even getting us towels or paper towels or something quickly all the waiters just stood in shock and froze like what the hell no sense of urgency or remorse this place had for such a horrible experience, spoke to the manager and seniors but no customer satisfaction or experience was provided, as we leaving because we were truly not happy with the place at all!!! The waiters by the entrance had the nurve to even day thank you for coming like they is such a don't care attitude at this terrible place and everything from management to waiters to entrance they don't care about they customers coming to have a good time and enjoy they time there, honestly truly the worst place to go to whether it's just you and your partner or the family you will regret it, this place doesn't even deserve a rating at all.😤😤😤😤😤😤💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

THE WORST WORST WORST WORST...

We made a booking and they wanted us to put down a deposit of R500 for buffet. Fine

Upon arrival they didn't even have our table ready and they didn't know anything about our booking in their books. We waited a good 10 mins and bare in mind we booked well in advance. Eventually they got a table for us outside. The waiter came and was unorganized and impatient to take our order for our drinks.

We ordered and were ready to get our food. The staff is extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. The atmosphere is the worst. Eventually our drinks came but it wasn't the same waiter that was serving us and the most horrible thing happened to me, while I was eating and the waiter gave me my drink. The waiter sipped the whole ice Pina colada drink on my clothes and my hair. I was soaking wet, everything from the back on my head was wet and the staff were so unhelpful and it felt like it was done on purpose. It felt like I really was targeted because they staff didn't think to help me out and all they could say was sorry but didn't help me. It was horrible and I will not recommend you go to this place. The staff are the worst. I had such an embarrassing and horrible experience. I really hope that this will be helpful because I had an awful experience.

We left because we were even there for more than 30 mins with this incident happened. THE WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST PLACE EVER. RUINED MY WHOLE SUNDAY.
