Amazing. I have had some good food in so many places... But had the best pizza ever at this little gem, tucked away in tyrone avenue in parktown. If you are looking for delicious, wholesome food at very reasonable prices, then this is the place for you! I had the "tracy special" pizza which was crammed with toppings. All lavishly spread over a wonderfully thin pizza base with the perfect blend of texture and flavour. The desserts on the menu had me wishing i had more space to fill. I simply cant wait to return and sample some of the other culinary adventures they have to offer.

Excellent service and a nice location. It would be nice to feel more welcome when you get there than trying to guess how the door is or where to sit. The restaurant has an inviting decoration (unless you are seated in the hallway). The food is good, we had the porcini pizza, the Parma ham pizza, amatriciana pasta and a lasagna. Everything was good but no great. I think that it is a bit telling that carbonara has cream as an ingredient (it must not). The concept works but it is still a long way to reach the standards of the best Italians in the city.

If understated romance were a place, I’d nominate it to be Trabella Pizzeria in Parkview. I’ve only ever been there to order takeaways but every time I’m there, I always think that this would be a wonderful place for date-night. P.S. The gnocchi porcini pasta is hands down, forks up, the best I’ve had. And I love that you can do a combo pizza with one half as something and the other half as another option. Always make one of the halves the mushroom porcini. It is delicious. (Excuse the loooong ‘P.S.’ but honestly check this place out).

Nothing is as disappointing as expectation. All the hype - and yet... Our shared pizza came cut up and placed on two plates with spaces in-between like children's fare. Two plates and a whole pizza, please! We can help ourselves, thanks. There was another glitch with service - a whopper which I shan't go into but suffice to say it was not good. Pizzas weren't hot - warmish. A salad for the table, two pizzas, two bottles of wine, a bottle of water, and three desserts plus tip was R1 200. That makes it R300 a head. Just not worth the mediocre experience. With life being so expensive, I'm afraid it's one strike and out. It's a NO from me, Trabella....

As Australian visitors we enjoyed the delicious pizzas, Italian delight sweet, that melts in ones mouth. Wait staff were Perfecto. A most enjoyable dining experience, until I experience the White African lady , manageress . Here rudeness, superior attitude towards me a White person was unbelievable. I requested help in obtaining an uber ride home as I dont have uber access. Dont need the lecture White Aficanan lady on why I should have Uber access. Thankyou to the lovely waitress who informed her how to obtain a cash passenger. Got home safely. Will return for the so...
