After waiting 45 min for the drinks to even arrive, we finally had a chance to order Eggs Benetelo, which used to be incredible. What a mistake! Not only were our medium eggs overcooked, but there was barely any hollandaise on the plate (the whole point of ordering eggs Benedict). I think they maybe used a teaspoon of hollandaise for the entire plate. What a rip off! Especially considering they used to bring a separate large container of hollandaise in the past. I have honestly never been sooo disappointed! I came especially for the hollandaise sauce and that is really not what I got at all. We were sitting outside and other tables that arrived after us received their food and drinks long before we did. Stopped for a quick bite today. I missed reading the board outside that had the chefs special of spicy beans with mice and eggs for breakfast and ordered scrambled eggs and a croissant. Then caught sight of the carrot cake and ordered a slice to go. The eggs were okay. Not as creamy as i would have liked. Croissant was tasty but a bit on the heavy side and lacked the ultra light airiness of croissants. What blew me away was the carrot cake. AMAZING. Especially the frosting. Was light and to die for. Edited down to 1 star. Food quality is pathetic, see photo for the trash they charge R184 for, grey bacon, puny sausage, a lump of danish feta - you people should be ashamed. Go to Lucky Bread Company. They actually care about their food. Don’t bother ordering here. They are too backward to keep their menu updated on Uber so everyting you want is “sold out” (or more likely never in stock to begin with). You can mark things sold out on the app. Stop being lazy and making it the customers problem AFTER they have ordered and given you their money....
