On a whim, we decided to have breakfast at Wimpy, in The Grove Mall, this morning. Almost immediately, our waiter, Silent (by name), and lightning fast in movement, made his appearance. Our order was taken, and within a short wait, was served. Really good, well-presented and tasty. (I was particularly enthralled by the “onion” design in the cream of my Cappuccino – it must have been created by a master craftsperson/artist.) And amazingly, the coffee did not taste of onion at all! But, jokes aside, next time you’re on a shopping spree in The Grove Mall, stop by the Wimpy – you won’t be disappointed.

The staff was very friendly and professional. I however went there with my three boys. 1. Their play area must have been an after thought. It is really tiny. 2. The menu is just okay. I am not a Wimpy regular so, they have the benefit of the doubt. Nevertheless, the kids menu is really underwhelming. It took me forever to convince the troupes to select something. And their chips where so white. Barely crispy.

We were served by such a lovely lady — she was friendly, attentive and genuinely ready to assist. The food was great and the portions were definitely value for money. My mom and I always come to this Wimpy, and we always leave full and happy.

During my recent visit to Wimpy at The Grove Mall, I had the pleasure of being served by Mr. William, and I must say, his service was truly outstanding. From the moment I arrived, he greeted me with a warm smile and ensured that I was comfortable. His professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout my dining experience.

Mr. William was attentive without being intrusive, always checking in at just the right moments to see if everything was to my satisfaction. He had great product knowledge, recommending menu items based on my preferences, which made my decision much easier. The food arrived promptly, and the presentation was excellent.

What stood out the most was his genuine friendliness and the way he made every customer feel valued. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work, and his excellent service significantly enhanced my overall experience at Wimpy. I would definitely recommend this location, thanks in large part to the stellar service provided by Mr. William. I look forward...

Yesterday morning (25/07/2018) at around 10:15, my wife and I visited the Wimpy in the Grove, Pretoria, for breakfast.

While ordering, the music playing from speakers mounted in the ceiling, was so loud that I had to keep repeating our order to the waiter. I asked him to turn the volume down – but he just smiled and walked off. (Maybe he didn’t understand what I said.)

My wife and I couldn’t have a conversation because of the loud nightclub-like music screaming overhead of us.

After we sat and tried to endure the noise for about 10 minutes, we got up and left – within paying for, or receiving our order. At the door, what I presume was the manager, approached us and said that the music would now be turned down.

I told him that we were not impressed, and would never again visit this outlet in future. If we wanted to go to a rock concert we would do so – it certainly is inappropriate to play this type of music in a...

I had a very bad experience at Wimpy The Grove on Friday 19th March. We ordered 2 cheese burgers one which I and my daugter shared. The first bite I took there was n piece of bone in and I broke my tooth on it. My daugther also find a piece in her half patty. We took it up with the manager which was very friendly but I still had to pay the full amount which wasn't fair for me because we send the food back. The waiter was also friendly and I know it wasn't their fault. I found an emergency dentist that helped me on a Friday afternoon at Constantia park intercare now I have to get the tooth crowned because it broke in half. The first account was R955 and I have to go back for 3 more visits and it's going to cost around R6000. So I'm not happy. I usually loved Wimpy burgers with a shake. I know they can't be aware of bones in the patty but I think it was unacceptable that I had to pay...
