Panarottis The Grove — Restaurant in Gauteng

What a disaster! We had our children at the ice rink and we decided to get lunch. So we ordered a pizza and a salad for take away. 35 min later we still don't have food, the session at the ice skating is 2 hours and we are wasting time sitting waiting for food. Anyway 40 Min in we finally get the person that took our order and ask what's going on. She disappears and comes back saying they are cutting the pizza. Right after that the manager brings the salad and says the pizza just went into the oven there was a mix up in the kitchen. So which person was telling the truth? Next the manager after being gone for a while arrives with the pizza and shows me the pizza. The cheese dressing wasn't on the pizza so he left again with it. Finally he comes back with the pizza. During this time we had asked for salad dressing and cutlery 5 times without any success. When they brought the pizza I told the manager to please now bring us cutlery and salad dressing. I ask you are you going to eat salad with your hands. Finally we leave, when we find our children we open the food to eat and the salad dressing was open in the packet and most of it spilled out. Oh and how about giving someone eating a pizza a serviette. Anyway it took so long we missed our children's skating session so we had the frustration of poor service and missed getting any photos of our outing. We will...

I recently dined at Panarottis at The Grove Mall and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home.

What truly sets this place apart from the other restaurants is their gorgeous outdoor decor they incorporated, it really is a gorgeous setting.

My son was totally in love with their awesome kids entertainment area! Not only can my child play FOR FREE on games similar to what you will find at the Games Arcade that is located just outside the door (bargain), but the staff went out of their way to entertain my little one!

They provided REAL pizza dough on a wooden board with roller and apron for my son to play with, and he even had the opportunity to BUILD his OWN pizza! Awesome idea, think I will host my sons birthday here next year, as it is a very convenient location with the movie theater right next to them!

We had attentive waitstaff who were genuinely caring and who made sure our dining experience were smooth and memorable.

And let's not forget the food - high-quality ingredients shone through in every dish!

Never been a fan of Panarottis due to poor experiences through the years - this branch comes to mind specifically .

But my visit on Sunday was hands down the worst to date. Slow and uncoordinated service. Simple pizza and pasta took over an hour. Only got to us after asking a manager to follow up . Which brings me to our waiter , Patty, who was friendly but didn’t really attend to us at all. She then also made a snide remark after having to redo our cutlery set as she didn’t move it for us when we had to move tables, we took our drinks ourselves(had to move due the mop used to mop the floor leaving such a terrible odour). And to top it off when we did eventually recieve the order the pizza was incorrect and the pasta was so tasteless I took it home to recook it . Didn’t even look the same as the picture on the menu- obviously a rush job in the kitchen . We had to ask another waiter to assist with the bill as our waiter was nowhere to be found. And when she did arrive not even a single apology, just laughed it off and blamed the business of the restaurant.

Absolutely never coming back. And from the other reviews recently seems I’m not the only one . Huge...
