On the 30th of March me and my boyfriend did a buffet here. It ended up in a challenge of how much we can eat. To say the least I only could eat 10 plates while he one upped me. His reasoning was that if I go and take another, he will also because he is a guy and in nature he will be able to eat more than I can. It's unfair but he won fairly, I couldn't eat anymore.

We really enjoyed this. The sushi is very very delicious, one of the best sushi I had. I would say my top sushi places now are Yamakado and John Dory's. You get quality for what you pay for.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to go and eat sushi. If you have a lot of time on hands, do the buffet and eat as much as you can. There were a few plates like the red and orange we didn't get because they were very busy. We ate a lot of black plates, one yellow and one purple. With the buffet one can also order dumplings, we ate this as well. The waiter also checked in on us a few times to make sure we are all sorted and good.

If you haven't been here, do...

Where to begin. Decided to try a new restaurant for my birthday dinner, and extremely disappointed to put it lightly. Upon arrival, there were 3 waiters standing around, with tables that hadn't been cleared. Our booth was dirty and still had items from the previous people. Dirty and broken menus. Ordered tempura prawns as a starter, no utensils were given (chop sticks cannot be used for this) , nor wet wipes (seeing as though I had to use my fingers) and very bland, could barely taste the prawns through all the oil. Main meal was even worse. Ordered a dish with "mix veg" and only received cabbage? And to top it off, we had 1 extremely rude and uninterested waitress. So much so, that she took my boyfriends food order and walked away from the table before I could order mine. The worst service we have ever received. Everything about our time there was so bad, we decided to pack our mains into takeaways and leave. We will not be back, and will...

Absolutely horrible experience and average sushi. Went for a quick dinner and hour and a half before a movie. Ordered a drink which arrived 20 minutes later incorrectly. Placed our food order and waited for over an hour for our food, at which point we asked the waiter what was the taking so long, she then rushed back with chicken spring rolls... not at all what we ordered and then continued to argue with us that we did order it. She then realized she was incorrect and rushed off again not to be seen for another 20minutes. At this point we had 12minutes until the movie started, we cancelled the order and she rushed back with half the original sushi order but no thai curry.... we told her to just bring the bill and cancel everything else. She came back without the bill but with the curry which was suddenly finished. We had to take it as take away as we just spend an hour and a half waiting for food.... utterly...

The best place for sushi! We've been loyal customers for years and are never disappointed. Opt for the buffet—the variety is fantastic, and the price makes it truly worth it. Despite the slow service, it's still much better than any other Chinese restaurant I've visited. While excellent, the food here often comes with service issues. However, if you go for the buffet, you can serve yourself from the conveyor belt if the service is slow or absent. Additionally, it's a unique experience to watch the sushi-making process, unlike other restaurants where the conveyor belts often obstruct your view. Overall, if you're seeking quality sushi, this is the place to be.

My and my Fiancé visited Yamakado Sushi Restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon, and we were very happy with our experience. The food and drinks we received were excellent with a great variety of options available. We also received great service from our waiter with no issues getting his attention when needed. The table was neatly presented with serviettes, hand sanitizer, and chopsticks. I am also happy with the basin & soap that was available to your hands before enjoying your sushi. I am fairly new in the sushi world, but I was very satisfied. I would recommend Yamakado Sushi Restaurant at the Grove Mall. Regards,
