What an utter disappointment. We have been plenty a time and have always had a good experience. Since last year September things started to go in a downward spiral. The service has become so horrible that you cannot even rate it, it is non existent. We went for the buffet option around 2 months ago, my wife and one of our friends ordered the waffle and ice cream dessert. On arrival they both noticed that the ice cream was sour. The manager apologized and removed the ice cream. This was coupled with extremely poor service from our waiter. Tonight 03/01/2022 we took friends there for the first time giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping that things have improved. We were a table of 8 people. Once again we were met with absolutely poor service. There were no sushi in sight on the conveyer belt and we had to wait 1h15 for our first plate of sushi. The manager then informed me that there was only one chef on duty and that he himself was also making sushi trying to get the orders out. Eventually some of our sushi came. I had ordered the Tuna Nigiri. Upon arrival it seemed like the fish had been frozen before, it looked strange. I took a bite and immediately tasted the texture was off and it had a sour taste to it. I spat it out and smelled the next piece. To my disgust the fish was extremely rotten. I called the manager once again and politely asked him to smell the sushi. He pulled his face and agreed that it was off. He removed the plate without saying a word and never returned. He did not even apologize for the service that we had experienced. Never ever will I set foot in any of Wok n...

The sushi chef uses the same rag to wipe the knife that they cut the sushi with. They also use that same rag to wipe the board they cut the sushi on and to wipe the OLD plates that patrons had already eaten off of. I sat upstairs and as such had a view right below me behind the counter where they prepared the sushi. They do NOT wash the sushi plates we ate off of, they simply take them away from the table and to the sushi chef who uses the only rag there to quickly wipe the plate before plating the next sushi.
The plates were chipped and stained, probably because they aren't washed. One of my sushi plates had a bit of sauce from the previous dish still on it.
They also seem to be out of stock of a few items as they didn't have stock of a cocktail and the bubble waffle from the buffet menu. As such, I ordered a bowtie and halfway through eating it I noticed there were ANTS stuck in the syrup. The manager did apologize and said that the ants must've crawled into the box they keep the bowties in which further made me question the cleanliness of the place.
Raw fish is already a risky type of food to serve but pair that with the absolute disregard for hygiene and cleanliness — I felt incredibly nauseous from the whole experience and left soon after I saw that they weren't cleaning the sushi plates.
Save yourself the grief and eat somewhere with a better hygiene standard. I will...
Read moreWorst experience at Wok, to date. Waiter at entrance mentioned specials were 50% off Sushi. The four of us ordered from Sushi menu and then only when bill arrived we were advised the 50% was only against coloured items. After some discussion a discount was applied. Waiters spent more time at the entrance of the restaurant chatting, rather than being attentive. I ordered the Salmon Taco . Sadly, this was not to be as my meal arrived smothered in mayo. A waitress looked at the menu and agreed there should be no mayo. My meal was exchanged but the decorative cherry tomatoes were held in place by, you’ve guessed, mayo. The salmon tacos were disappointing as they were taco shells filled with salmon and minute amounts of spring onions, pepperdew and black pepper. When leaving I asked the manager what they meant by ‘Sushi’. To cut a long story short, he was still focused on the discount when I was asking a totally separate question . Bottom line: Temporary staff need to be managed, more so, than...
