Steers — Restaurant in George

Disgusting handling of food. After ordering,the lady in the kitchen swings the hamburger roll up in the air to show her colleague (who is passing on the meals), she makes a comment about it whereby she and her colleague laughs. I tell the cashier I hope that's not the roll I'm getting for the burger I ordered because she touched it with her bare hands. She casually tells me that the lady in the kitchen is going to prepare my burger with her hands anyway as if I'm saying something abnormal. What quality of service is this? I end up saying I don't want it , she can cancel my order. To make it worse, I end up going to Debonairs (next to Steers) and the Steers cashier gossips about me and the issue I just had at Steers. As I'm ordering at Debonairs, a different lady at Steers runs across (interrupts me while speaking)to tell the Debonairs cashier to tell me they also handle the food with bare hands as though she wants to spite me/rejoice in my misery. She then goes to the back in the kitchen (Debonairs) and tells her colleagues in her language about this and they all laugh while one kitchen staff member speaking loudly (for me to hear) about it (basically giving attitude towards me but in a language I don't understand). Pathetic service, pathetic staff, pathetic food hygiene. Unhygienic on so many levels and then we wonder why people get food poisoning. Today I ordered food and it was delivered to my house but after I paid and the car had left I realized they did not put in everything I ordered. I called them and notified them and they said the item I'm missing was left behind but they will deliver it soon. I have been waiting for 40min for them to bring my order which they forgot. Steers is 2.88km from my house so it should not take that long to deliver something they forgot. This is my second bad experience ordering food from steers. It was already late so we ordered takeout for dinner. We asked for a box of fully loaded fries and got plain chips. We were very disappointed! Paid about R110 for the box, just to get home and be utterly disappointed in the box of plain chips. The burgers we also ordered already came with their own packet of chips, so imagine sitting with an excess of ordinary chips after preparing yourself for cheesy fries.
