Utterly Disappointing

We went to Panarottis Ballito for dinner on Saturday 28th December, as they have a variety of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu.

We ordered a pizza and requested a substitute with soya chicken (as this is what is stated on there menu and have advertised that they are 'vegan friendly' and can do ' vegetarian swops'), however the pizza came back with chicken instead of the soya.

Another member of our family ordered the gnocchi which is a vegetarian dish and it had a piece of chicken in it.

Our family are strict vegetarians and felt extremely disgusted with this.

Why do you make claims of having vegan and vegetarian options on your menu, if you are unable to prepare it properly.

It is questionable whether you have trained chefs preparing your food, because if you did, then we would have the correct food being prepared in the correct manner as proper trained staff will have the knowledge to execute food preparation according the menu adequately and would understand the concept of 'vegan' and 'vegetarian' and even worse 'cross contamination'.

Also, should you not have separate stations for the preparation of vegan and vegetarian food?, because if you did we would not be getting chicken in our food.

We consequently reported this to the manager on duty who apologized and offered to waiver the charges. As much as this was a gesture on his part to pacify us, this has left a bad taste in our mouths.

I will definitely think twice of going there again, unless professionally trained staff are preparing the food and they have their 'house in order'. It does make you wonder what our hospitality industry is dishing out to us, as this is not a case of just a simple error, it's...

My absolute favorite go to breakfast spot. As you can see from the pics definitely more than 1 visit this past month actually like 3 or 4 times already, as my kids, family and myself are beeeg on breakfasts😅😁

This is one establishment that has been consistently perfect for me 10/10 with how I like my eggs done, that thatha's sauce and the accompaniment of the chilli, cheese and garlic. Me being Indian those sides are the bomb 💣.

Also due to the spectacular Durban heat for drinks we got these jars they have like mock tails for myself and 2 kids the small jar is ample but also available in 1lt options, the flavors are super refreshing and thisrt quenching strawberry 🍓 was the ultimate favorite then apple and litxh however I am certain there are 2 more flavors😁

I initially began to write this review to thank the manager that was on duty Friday 9.11.22 morning not sure his name😕 as we had a hosp appointment at 8 and was in the mall by 8.30 kids wanted breakfast. I entered not realizing they open from 9🙄🤔. The customer service I got was mind blowing, I was seated and told no worries you can order mam we got you, no waiters in site but the chefs and management was there and he had personally served me from beginning till I left even once the staff came in duty he continued to assist. Thank you so much, sometimes it's the little things that make a huuuge difference so greatful for impeccable customer service 💯💯

Pathetic service actually if i could would give zero stars. Visited the restaurant on Friday 25th Nov 2022 with my family. Waited for someone to acknowledge us and seat us. When we eventually got seated no waiter came to our table, I had to get the attention of a waiter to come to our table. The waiter took our order which consisted of pizza's and pastas and our drinks. We waited for about 20mins for our drinks to come which was wrong, order a bubblegum milkshake for my nephew however they brought chocolate one. 1 and half hours later the waiter brings the Manager to explain to us that they cannot do pastas only spaghetti which we didn't want. The manager tired to force us to take pizzas instead of the pastas, which I felt quiet ridiculous. No apologies no concern showen from the manager at all. We advised him why this was not made to our attention earlier when we ordered our food as than we would not have wasted our time. We arrived at the restaurant just after 7pm and left the restaurant at 8.30pm with my entire my family hungry as we had not received our food and what we wanted to order. We even paid for the drinks we had. The service and how the Manager handled the situation was terrible and Pathetic.
