There are a number of signs around this shop that says outside food is not allowed. I bought three meals spending about R400 … also ensuring that I understood I was going to be charged a whole R15 for extra cashews. My husband however is not a fan so it was Chicken Licken for him.

Just a few points If you ask if i would pay R15 extra per meal in horror…. It’s obvious you believe its too expensive if you are asking… seeing as you are part of the franchise… go do something about it.

Im not going to fault the food … its never the issue. Reading through these previous comments and coming through the story about the pregnant lady being asked to not sit… well that shades my thoughts a bit.

I ordered the 309, which has always been my favorite dish from Simply Asia. I ordered hot, as I always do at any Simply Asia store near me. I was unaware that the ballito store makes the dish extra extra hot when one orders hot. The food was completely inedible and I of course could not have my meal. What I found surprising was that I got no warning or hint whatsoever from the person who took my order over the phone, alerting me that the 'hot' flavour is completely inedible as it is extra extra hot. I've never had this problem at any other Simply Asia across the region, and I cannot understand why when it comes to Durban and surrounding areas of Durban, that it is assumed 'hot' must mean inedible....

Over the years I’ve consistently bought the beef 514 spicy and throughout the years I’ve had many issues for example I found glass in my food once and the most common is old beef and mostly recently tonight with spoiled meat. They can try to hide the smell with all the spices but never the taste. My wife has reported these problems to the manager many times with no positive feedback. This review is a long time coming. On a serious note this place needs to audited because this unacceptable and unsafe. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person who has experienced this.
