Coyote Canyon Spur — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

Good Evening. Spur steak ranches has always been the home away from home for food. The quality of service and is same all over the country (excluding Spur Galleria). Went in on Monday for dinner and was turned away on some excuse of there not being water, meanwhile front restaurant was busy. So went to Sandy Centre Spur. Went in last night for supper and wanted to sit in a quite place cos of the noise outside, so we sat 2 rows away from patio door leading to the smoking dining area. At the time the door was completely shut. As the waiters serviced the outside area they left the door ajar and the wind brought the horrible smoke smell inside and I asked the waiters to please close the door. I was met with dirty looks and 4 times more it happened. Then I spoke to the Manager Bafana and he told them to keep the door closed and that didn't help. So I moved my table right across from the kitchen, here it was hot and noisy. So we had supper uncomfortably in the noise and heat. Then the drama with card machine started, My goodness. We are paying to buy your service and food, you don't supply for free, so I don't expect to be abused by your totally useless staff. Be sure I'm gonner post this event on all platforms available. Clearly this was racially motivated action taken...

Play Area Assistant 09.11.2023 - Westwood Mall To whom this may concern,

It is not very often that I get to send an email like this, but I feel it is an absolute must.

My family and I visited Spur Westwood Mall yesterday at about 6pm. My daughter is 2 and a half years old and went straight to the play area.

I have never felt more comfortable with my child being watched by another person before. The playroom assistant last night was the most warm and caring person I’ve ever seen or met at a restaurant before.

She was such a beautiful person; you could just see goodness in her face. She was ready and waiting to help all the kids make the most out of their play time. By the time we were ready to leave she had a whole group of kids sitting and standing around her listening to her speak and laugh with them. She must have been telling them stories, but you could just see from our table that she was really interested in speaking and playing with them.

I’ve been to so many Spur restaurants and many other restaurants and I have never see something like this before.

It was honestly the reason we have decided that Spur Westwood will always be my family’s restaurant of choice.

I pray she gets the recognition she deserves.

I should’ve read the reviews before coming here. It’s the first time I’m rating a Spur (this is because it’s the first time, and I have been to many Spurs in the country, I am SO disappointed). We came here cause it has a huge play area so I wanted the kids to experience it. They enjoyed it but even they, complained about the service. “It takes so long. I think they forget about us”. They are SLOW and they don’t check on you. I don’t understand how they can be so bad. There were 3 things out of stock (which they mentioned after we ordered and waited). First, it was the kids pizza. Then, it was the frozen coffee. Then it was the Chipo The Clown kids dessert. Eyi. Also…my food had a strand of weave (hair). Wish I found it as I began eating instead of pulling it out of my mouth near the end. This place needs...
