Home Ground Kids fell short of expectations in terms of both flavor and quality. An uninspiring chicken fillet and lackluster fries meal combined with an average kids' menu left me with a sense of disappointment. Hopefully, improvements can be made to elevate the dining experience.
Despite the culinary disappointment at Home Ground Kids, there was a silver lining—the play area. Designed for children up to about six years old, the play area provided a redeeming feature to our dining experience.
The vibrant and engaging play space captured the attention of the little ones, offering a fun and safe environment for them to explore and enjoy. The age-appropriate design ensured that activities were well-suited for young children, creating a positive and lively atmosphere.
While the dining experience fell short, the play area added a touch of joy to our visit. For parents seeking a family-friendly environment with a focus on the younger ones, Home Ground Kids' play area does shine in contrast to the culinary aspects. It's a testament that, even in the face of one disappointment, there can be elements that salvage the overall experience for families with...
Read moreWow Yes, exactly that A great place nestled away from the rush of the public offering an excellent venue for the kids. One can hire a venue for a birthday party for the kids, order platters (choices of chicken or beef), and playground with different activities for the young ones to rollic in. Secure entrance and exit point... child proof, only youth/adult operating. Parents have unobstructed views of kids' activities at all times. Reasonable price with value for money. A diaper change room for kids away from the public eye. Restaurant that serves with authentic courtesy and smiles. Parking is available. Enquiries are handled by the Church office (unfortunately at the time of this writing I didn't have a number) Loved the vibes, children enjoying themselves and the relaxed atmosphere of parents enjoying their own chit-chat over coffee and snacks. Definitely a place to recommend 👌. (Maybe hire this place for my...
Read moreA little disappointed:
We have been going to Home Ground for over a year now and wow, such a great place.
But, after our recent visit on 17 September 2022, I am saddened to say that it's no longer what it use to be.
Service was horrible; we waited an hour for them to simpy take our order. As a child friendly restuarant you would think they would bring the kiddies food out first, not at this place.
Outside play ground is great!
Let's talk about the changing area next. Before they had a beautiful room with a space to breastfeed. Privately. At the moment they have the changing table out where EVERYONE on the playground can see you. Along with the breastfeeding chair.
Not recommended if you have a child in nappies, if you are breastfeeding or if your child is hungry.
So sad to see such a great place...
