On every visit I get consistency, great service, get blown away by the flavor combinations, get my taste buds tingled with spices and leave with a smile. Definitely a 5 star plus venue.
I’ve never been to Korea, but the owner/head chef Sue is Korean and with her warm sincerity I trust that these are authentic flavors and dishes served to me. So much so that she inspires me to visit Korea too, just to discover this type of cuisine.
I usually end up eating more than I should as I am too tempted to taste as much as possible while there. Still no regrets though.
Portions are quite large, some dishes are enough for sharing. In my opinion the menu is really well priced. I could pay a lot more more and still be happy.
My 3rd pic, the seafood soup is available on special order only. Watsapp your order or call through at least 2hrs before. The dish is mind blowing, and enough to share between 2. Cell number is on the menu attached.
My go to dish is Lees Creamy Chicken, a must order dish.
Note the location is inside a car park area, quite small and hidden and this adds to the authenticity of the space that’s backed up with really hospitable service. Hence the atmosphere is 5 star too. Feels like a hidden gem and it is 1.
Thank you Sue, and your lovely team for your great service and...
Read moreKimbap lives up to its name The kimbap was very tasty I was so disappointed in the noodles I got I was expecting fresh authentic noodles, I’ve seen so many people hype up this place but it literally was a packet of Samyang with three nuggets. If I knew I wouldn’t of ordered it and spent almost 115 rand for samyang noodles The portions are too small and the Korean coffee was literally like normal coffee As someone who has visited a lot of Korean restaurants in South Africa I must say I’m disappointed. Apart from the kimpab and the Korean chicken that’s was the only things I enjoyed Even the noodles my boyfriend ordered was like 60 rand and it was a packet of shin ramen noodles It’s sad because sun sun Asian market is across the road If we wanted to eat packet ramen I would of just went and bought it from there People on tik tok hyped this place was more than...
Read moreOur 2nd time visiting and decided to eat there, we were not disappointed!!! I forgot to take pictures but they have delicious Korean Iced Cofee, give it a try!! We had the pork dumplings and the kimchi dumplings, both delicious and juicy. My husband tried the Original Kimbap and thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared the Dumpling Soup (with beef bone broth), which came with 4 delicious and large dumplings and the soup had this gorgeous flavour of white pepper. The soup came with yummy white rice and a very flavourful salad in this amazing dressing (I think sesame seed oil and mirin possibly?). Once we finished the dumplings in the soup, we added the rest of the rice to it and that created another flavour and texture dimension which was out of this world! Please do note that the dumpling soup set are a special, and their...
