I recently had the pleasure of attending a staff function at Lupa Osteria Durban North, and I must say that the experience left me thoroughly impressed. Not only were the meals delicious and wholesome, but the portions were also generous enough to be shared between two people.
One of the highlights of my dining experience was undoubtedly the breadsticks. They were perfectly baked, with a crispy exterior and a soft, warm center. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. Paired with their hummus, it was an absolute delight for my taste buds. In fact, I can confidently say that it was the best hummus I have ever eaten.
The menu at Lupa Osteria offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. From delectable pasta dishes to succulent meat dishes and, there is something for everyone. The attention to detail in each dish is evident in both presentation and taste.
The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy yet elegant, making it an ideal setting for any occasion - be it a casual lunch or a special celebration. The staff members are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every customer feels welcome and well taken care of.
After such an exceptional dining experience, I am certain that I will be returning to Lupa Osteria in the near future. It has undoubtedly earned its place as one of my favorite...
Read moreThe most pathetic service we have ever received. We arrived at 19:30 and waited 10 minutes to be attended by a waitress. While waiting for our drinks a cockroach crawled out of the kitchen to the dining room. When we told the waitress about it she was afraid of the cockroach and giggled while walking away. My partner tried to kill it and while going to the bathroom to get a tissue, the cockroach woke up and started moving under our table. I alerted the manager ( I think his name is Sean) and demanded that he get rid of it. He gave a weak explanation about having the restaurant fumigated and that's why the cockroaches were now crawling out of the wood works. He offered our daughter free ice cream because she was afraid of the roach. When we placed our pizza order, the waitress told us there would be a delay because the kitchen was very busy with a large pizza order from one table - bare in mind, there were only 5 tables with patrons - the restaurant was 75% empty. At 21:16 our order had still not arrived and when we asked for the bill, we received a weak apology from the waitress and the manager rushed passed us with 6 dirty plates, far too busy to address us on the dismal service we had received. Absolutely pathetic - this LUPA branch has does a disservice to the South African Hospitality...
Read moreDear Management team of Lupa Durban North, I was shocked and horrified by, not only the lateness of our order being released to our uber driver, but the cold, limp and barely edible state of our "food" (which cost us R450!) When speaking to Dee on the phone, I was told that she did not have an answer for me as to what time it was dispatched (even though my uber driver had notified me that the delay was on your part) and that she wasn't the one dealing with the order After I had to ask her to let me speak so I may finish my sentence, I told her that the lateness wasn't my primary concern, but the appalling state of my food. I have been ordering take-away food from delivery services for many years and have never had an order, that had just been dispatched, arrive in such a state. If it wasn't so close to curfew, I would have gotten in my car and brought this food back but I guess that time is against me. In time like these when our industry is in such trouble, I would expect so much more from industry professionals such as yourselves. This is the nail in the coffin from me, I will never support Lupa...
