Dined on Friday 8/11/24 with 5 other people, waited almost an hour outside for a table inside. Outside seating is uncomfortable, wooden benches. Food is lovely but overpriced, if you are a beer drinker like me u will be disappointed because there is no beer on tap which I prefer. Forced to drink cocktails which is on special on Fridays, buy 1 get 1 free all day but restricted to 4 flavors only, they advertise California iced tea but by 6pm they are sold out which is highly frustrating. They say that they have cocktails on tap but I noticed them making the cocktails from scratch behind the bar. This is the same for mozambik in Wilson's wharf which is owned by the same person who owns the Chatsworth branch. The inside seating area is extremely cramped and claustrophobic and you are ultimating touching elbows with the people in the table behind the you + other people are able to hear your conversations. This is my 1st and last time I would frequent this place, its evident that this place was built out of greed and profits and not to provide a different dining experience for the people of Chatsworth. With no beer on tap you are forced to buy normal bottled beer @ over the top prices, its obvious that more profits are generated from bottled beer than from beer on tap. Overall, the service is 10/10, very attentive and respectful staff who deserve more than the standard 10% tip. Dining here for me was out of desperation than out of choice, I personally would not recommend this place, I prefer Oliver and Oil in Pavilion, comfortable dining experience, beer on tap,...
Read moreWe went to mozambik in chatsworth center on the 02/04/2024 Highly disappointing food to be honest. We ordered chicken and prawns for my mum sister and myself. The chicken was almost off because as i was eating it had like a power and paste like consistency which was absolutely not acceptable then my sister also noticed that the chicken had a foul and horrible smell as we were eating so we called the waiter and told him about it. He was really kind to us and staff was very friendly, he explained that this happened because of the defrosting process even if so the chicken should not have a foul smell anyways he did ask the cook to remake the same meal for us only for my sister and i as my mum did not have an issue with hers which was good to hear. The second chicken meal that was given to me was fine however my sisters one we decided to take it away because she didn’t want to eat anymore we took it home for my dad and he also complained about it and was not happy at all. Overall this experience was not a good one at all very disappointed in the food and we used to really love going here because it’s closest to home but we did not expect food like that to be given to people to eat. However i will definitely say that staff is always very kind, welcoming and friendly which is the only good thing to say at this moment. Please do make improvements and check on the quality of food before serving to people as i am sure people love the food...
Read moreVisited on Friday night and left extremely disappointed. The calamari was spoilt, clearly smelled and tasted that way. After bringing this up to the manager, she said it can’t be as they just received stock, then came back to us saying the chef tasted it and that’s how it tastes - I visit other branches of Mozambik very often and it’s never that way. The chicken was blue inside, which she said is “bone marrow” and did nothing about it. Then proceeded to ask what we wanted to do about the calamari, offering no solutions. We, then, requested for the prawns instead, for which she said they’d remove 30% off the meal but we’d have to pay for the prawns separately.
Absolutely no accountability and responsibility from this branch! Will not be...
