A Perfect Brunch Experience at Wimpy – Thanks to Nokwanda!
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a truly delightful brunch at Wimpy, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really made the experience unforgettable was our waitress, Nokwanda.
Nokwanda was nothing short of amazing. Her energy was infectious—she greeted us with a bright smile and made us feel right at home. She was attentive without being overbearing, effortlessly striking that perfect balance between professional and personable. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and handled every request with ease and a genuinely kind spirit.
As for the food—absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked just the way we like it (we have a very fussy family), and the coffee was rich and freshly brewed. The presentation was also spot on, and it all came out hot and fast, which is always a plus when you’re hungry.
What stood out most was how Nokwanda elevated the whole experience. She took the time to make recommendations, checked in on us just enough, and truly made us feel like valued guests. It’s rare to come across service that feels so personal and sincere.
Wimpy, you’ve got a gem in Nokwanda. Her service turned a simple brunch into a memorable morning. I’ll definitely be back—and I’ll be asking for...
Read moreAfter our last unpleasant experience we returned to this store as we always do. For a busy store I must say that Its a disgrace knowing what I now know. Firstly whilst waiting so long for our order we witnessed a runner washing the knifes and forks outside in a bucket with dirty water. This was being done between the tables with no regard of the patrons viewing this. The dirty cutlery was placed into a red bucket and this guys was just cleaning them off with his hands. I could see the water was brown. Then he proceeded to wipe the utensils with the same rag he used to clean off my table. It was absolutely disgusting. I ended up getting our food that we ate with our hands. The order arrived and was also wrong. After waiting an additional 8. Minutes for the extra toast it came on a plate that had barbecue sauce on the side that was not cleaned properly. I am not a person who complains much. I am not after any freebies I paid my entire bill. I would like however to go have a meal at this store with any franchise manager. And I challenge them to point out any good thing about this store. I can promise you that the negatives I can point out will be far more than and positive. It is really disgusting knowing that I have eaten there so many times not thinking that I was given dirty utensils. Completely unhappy and I will not support the wimpy franchise...
Read moreHave been coming to this particular wimpy (located opposite Vodacom) for over 15 years . Always great service . However do find the manager a bit strange, not sure if he is new ?He doesn’t greet the customer’s or checks up on the customers, he stands by the kitchen drinking his coffee while the rest of the wimpy staff attend to customers , it’s the friendly waiters and waitresses that take the initiative to greet and create a great ambiance .I’ve always remembered the previous managers running the floor so well and interacting with the customers -this creates an amazing rapport. I don’t think that being in a management role should exclude one from interacting with customers it’s part of the job as well as to make sure your customers are happy . But great job to the rest of...
