Wimpy — Restaurant in Mbombela

We had a horrible experience. When we wanted to place our order the lady at the till(it was a take-away) she ignored us until one of the staff noticed us and came to us and offered us the menu, again after that when we wanted to pay she was doing something else the same lady who gave us the menus asked it if we have ordered, we answered yes and she asked her colleague to give us the speed point. We placed our order we left and went shopping for about an hour. When we came to collect, she takes our slip and go to the back, she doesn't tell us anything until one of her colleagues comes to us and inform us that apparently our order was given to someone else. I mean we waited there for a new one we took it and we rushed out. To our surprise when we opened the food, it was short. We had ordered a platter with wings and ribs. We found that it was 1 wing instead of four, 4 very dry onion rings, 1 sausage that was cut in half. My friend was really craving those ribs which were 2 by the way. I am...

We visited Wimpy at Ilanga Mall today and were quite disappointed. My girlfriend ordered the cheese griller breakfast and found a hair on the bacon — which was unacceptable. I had the Dagwood with chips, but the relish made the bread so soggy I couldn’t even finish the meal.

This was surprising, as we regularly eat at Wimpy branches like 14th Avenue, Centurion Lifestyle Centre, Mall @ Reds, and Centurion Mall — and the food quality there is consistently much higher. We’ve come to expect better from Wimpy, and hope this branch takes the feedback seriously to improve hygiene and food preparation.

My daughter and I stopped in at Wimpy @Illanga Mall on Tuesday afternoon for a quick bite. I've had terrible food and even worse service at this Wimpy so I had very low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised we were seated immediately at a clean table. Our friendly waiter recommend and explained the specials. Our drinks were brought timeously. A Cappuccino and a kiddies creme soda. I ordered the crumbed chicken bacon cheese burger and chips special that was recommended, it w as delicious. My daughter had a kiddies waffle.
