Arrived with 3 adults and an autistic child who had a Debonairs pizza, waitress brings menus and I say just 3 menus as my son has his pizza, she leaves, not saying anything, we continue browsing the menu, only for the waitress to come tell us that my autistic son isn't allowed to eat his pizza there, I asked so must my son eat his pizza outside, she said YES, like a dog My question is, is it Mugg and Bean the brand policy or the personal policy of owner? If this is indeed Mugg and Bean policy, why didn't the waitress immediately inform us of their policy? Was this a ploy because Mugg and Bean KeyWest discriminate against people with disabilities? Or was it because we were Coloured Mugg and Bean KeyWest had no interest of losing our business Biggest question is this How is it that we put out of Mugg and Bean KeyWest but just opposite we were welcomed with open arms at Wimpy KeyWest YET both establishments falls under Famous Brands, makes me wonder Mugg and Bean KeyWest I'm disgusted by the way you treated us today, you don't deserve to be part of the Famous Brands group, Mugg and Bean...
Read moreI think sometimes it pays off just to stop and think a bit more before laying out store rules that dont make sense. Went into Mugg n Bean to buy a birthday cake last minute. There was a full cake on display and I was told it would cost R540 but i couldn't buy it i had to order one and collect after a couple of days. The manager Steven was even called and he insisted the same thing that i couldn't buy it. I asked him, what if i sat down with my son and ordered each 6 slices of the same cake and whether it would be acceptable then but he said no it was impossible i still wouldn't be allowed to buy it. I asked him what if 12 patrons ordered a slice each of that cake & whether it would then be acceptable and he surprisingly still insisted no. Ordinarily i wouldn't normally buy birthday cake from Mugg n Bean but as I'd seen it whilst having coffee i decided to get it on my way out. Sad that businesses still have the luxury to turn away business during such a time as this. Even if its some rule within at least teach the staff to explain it in an acceptable way so as to retain clients...
Read moreTook my Grandson for a breakfast treat only to be HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED by an incompetent waiter, who I think has a hearing problem. My Grandson ordered a toasted sandwich made with white bread and chips, I ordered a toasted chicken mayo on whole wheat bread & chips. After a waiting time of more than 20 min our ordered arrived. My Grandson's order was fine but mine NO WAY near. I then ask this waiter what I had ordered, he just couldn't remember, I then repeated my order to him & asked him if what he had placed before me was what I had ordered, to this he replied with "sorry I didn't see" now he is expressing all sorts of apologies, to which I replied calm & peacefully, please just take this away as I didn't order this plate of food & don't want it. This M&B is sliding backwards more & more with ever visit, but I shall think twice about visiting there again. Sorry to the owner. Sort the staff out or sell out before your business...
