Swaadisht Foods PMB — Restaurant in Msunduzi Local Municipality

So... Although I have been coming here for a few years... And my earlier review remains below this... I have recently ordered a take away chicken Tikka.. Got home to find that it was half cooked... Visited a few days ago for lunch... And once again.. The lucky packet restaurant disappointed. I ordered the paneer Tikka... Which clearly says cooked with pepper and onion and a sauce, I just got some generic paneer curry. When I enquired about where the pepper and onion was, the chef said it was in there🙄, sent it back and he then fried some oily peppers and onions and mixed it in and presented it to me. This could be a good restaurant, but honestly, they lack in serious management and customer satisfaction. I really do not recommend it.

Good Indian food for now. The restaurant has been under different management many times and I have often had awful food and service here. This restuarant is like a lucky packet, you never really know if the food is going to be good or bad, just depends on the meal you order and the day. Terrible right from the start. Firstly, we walk into a restaurant where we aren't welcomed/greeted. We showed ourselves to a table while the only worker in the restaurant just sat and spoke on the phone and didn't even acknowledge us non verbally.

We sit down and noticed that the table next to us hadn't been cleared since the last customers. The used plates were probably out for a while because the curry sauces left on the plate looked hardened. What made it worse was the flies.

It took around 10-15 minutes before a waiter came up to us and introduced themselves and took our order. The restaurant was almost empty around supper time and there's no real atmosphere.

We ordered drinks but they didn't come until after our food came. My father ordered a coffee but we were told that the machine isn't working.

Went to go wash our hands before eating and noticed a really dirty curry stained sink.

Swaadisht Foods have great food. I love the food that they serve and the staff are always welcoming and pleasant. Only reason I gave 4 stars is due to the fact that their food takes really long, however I guess u can't rush to class food so if dey were a little faster, it would definitely be 5 stars😁😁. Foe the full 5 star experience, I would recommend that you place your order a day or few hours in advance so that when you arrive to collect your food, it will be ready for you and still hot like it was just taken out the pot. If you want to dine in with family the atmosphere in the restaurant makes you feel like you eating at a royal palace with all the royal themed curtains and decor. You may have to wait a while for the food, but when you eat their food, you will realise that every second you waited, was worth the wait as the delicious food fills your empty tummy👌😂😂 Not sure if it's possible to give it a 4.5 stars but I would rather give them 4.5 stars. Losing only due to waiting so long...
