BEST of ASIA is the BEST of Whale Coast Mall! I was greeted outside the door by the most wonderful, helpful, friendly, gracious and professional front-of-house lady. Next time, I will introduce myself and ask for her name in order to thank her here personally. Within moments she recommended the perfect fresh raw sushi combo platter for takeaway with keen regards to my preferences. She showed me to a clean and comfortable restaurant table and seated me, making me feel very welcome and happy to be there. The waiting time was negligible - my bottom had scarcely hit the chair before her prompt return with a sushi box containing everything I wanted, with a generous amount of soy sauce, pickled ginger, real wasabi and paper wrapped wooden chopsticks - all of my favourites, conveniently placed in a neatly sized carrier bag. It's important to note that I spent about five hours and thousands of Rands in the Whale Coast Mall today, shopping everywhere from Clicks to DisChem, SpecSavers to Woolworths, Vrystaat Biltong to Seattle Coffee Company.. but this, although, the least of all my fiscal outputs, turned out to be the best experience I had all day. Indeed, of all the other cashiers and shop assistants I encountered, this special lady was the FIRST and ONLY to sincerely thank me for my patronage AND wish me a very good day. A lesson in customer service to the rest of you, and not to be taken for granted - it really makes a big difference. I will be back to BEST of ASIA with my friends next time! Thank you for your efficiency, consideration and immaculate service, and the fantastic atmosphere you create for all your customers, excellent front-of-house lady! I really do appreciate it very much! 🙏🏻😊 The smoked salmon avocado rolls, prawn fashion sandwiches and condiments were all properly sealed, exquisitely created and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend BEST of ASIA for best customer service, best sushi and best value for money franchise restaurant...

Have been going for sushi here for years but the service has just gotten worse each time we go lately. Considering prices have shot up. They have one guy working at the sushi bar and one waitress for the end of the month rush??? We ordered the buffet and there was NOTHING on the conveyor belt!! The sushi we order didn't even all come after the 2 hours we were there. The sushi we got seemed to be a rush to just give us something as it wasn't even the full dish... hand roll without cucumber, carrots and little rice and no rice seeds just plain salmon piece with little avo and mayo. This seemed to be the same pattern for the other sushi we got. Eventually we said we needed to go as its a school night with the kids. Takeaways were made first before in-restaurant orders???? My recommendation would be obviously have more staff working behind the sushi bar atleast so that takeaways can be made by one guy while the other/s work the restaurant! More waitresses. And please do not give excuses or point fingers, run your restaurant better. Being in this industry, you have terrible service and I really hope...

Honestly disappointing, Waitress was uninterested in everything, brought the wrong thing twice after forgetting about it, I had to remind her twice about my order, the sushi was such a let down if you haven't had good sushi before you'll probably think it was okay but if you have had good sushi before you'll know this places quality is bloody awful and I mean it, I have had some late night cheap sushi in my day but this was by far the worst, the rice was undercooked and dried out, the fish was skimpy and bland, The crab was so dry and stale it almost turned to dust, not to mention the actual pieces are so bulked up with rice it's ridiculous and the construction of the pieces left a lot to be desired and to top it all off the soy Sause bottle was broken and leaked everywhere.

P.s don't order the corn soup either. It's cream of corn heated up and the blandest, saddest, tiniest chicken added to it.
