Old Bridge Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Somerset West

Just had the worst experience. Super disappointed… we’ve always loved coming to old bridge. Arrived @8pm waited for a waiter for about 10 mins (in those 10 mins we had to order drinks at the bar) when he came around we immediately ordered 2 pizzas. Because we were hungry.

Waited and waited, everyone around us was getting food and we were so hungry.

Granted they were busy and we had sympathy for that. The manager eventually came out and said they had no more dough. But only an hour after we had already been waiting for the food. We were offered a discount on anything else and ordered 1 burger.

Waited and waited again, eventually decided to go and pay since it looked as if we weren’t going to get our food. When we went in to pay we saw people being served more pizza…. People that came in after us.

The burger was boxed in a takeaway only to be eaten at home. Getting home only to note it was the wrong burger.

I have so much respect for a business that is busy and I completely understand that it can get overwhelming but if you’ve already let a customer down, don't do it twice.

Unfortunately we will not...

I was highly embarrassed today. I had personally recommended Old Bridge to my family from Natal. As an avid supporter of local business, I was highly disappointed with our general experience. We arrived and received prompt service but which only continued in 20min intervals. There were roughly 4 tables. After waiting an hour for our food, 3 of our orders were inaccurate. An 'original' burger was swopped for a chicken burger. A Mexican pizza didn't have 2 of the 5 listed ingredients (sour cream and salsa) and my Eisbein had chips instead of the listed mash (not to mention the stale, most probably week old, saauerkraut). The waitor was new but the incorrect orders can be entirely attributed to poor management (releasing poorly trained waitors into the wild). Unless these problems are corrected, I would not recommend this place. Somerset West...

When we first entered, we waited about 15 mins for a waitress to come serve us, but at that point we already sat ourselves down and got menus from inside. When a waitress did come, she was friendly, very sweet. However the service was slightly slow. The food was okay.. The sauce tasted weird on the pizza. I got a Hawaiian pizza and a grapetizer. Overall, food and drinks were nice, however I wouldn't order the pizza again. The environment was nice, although it's located near the main road, the cars aren't that loud due to the tree cover. The only real problem was the insects, mainly the bees. After a while of your food being out, the bees do try and fly near you. Tip: don't order sweet drinks, that's what they like. Butterfly's we're present which were calming. The menus were a bit dirty, bring wet wipes for after touching them/ before...
