When I heard of this place I was a bit exited to visit as I took my wife and children to this place, however on my arrival i was stunt as we made a booking for 2pm on mother's day. The waiter was suprised as there was no table reserved for us although a reservation was made and confirmed with us on the Friday. We were then shown to a table and waited long for the waiter to atend to us. After about 30 minutes we ordered drinks which only arrived another 30 minutes later when we placed our order. When our food arrived, we had to request cutlery to eat with.
I visited many restuarants and this was the worst service I ever encountered. I also discovered that the menu which was advertized on their website does not match with the menu inside the restuarant, which should have been an eye opener. The waitresses anr waiters were running around the restuarant like people it knowing whatbthey are doing. When I spoke to the manager he was all apologetic about everthing even about the bag service which was rendered.
The place itself is very relaxing and even have a place for kids to place, however the service which was received does give you a bad experience which inturn will make you think twice to refer or...
Read moreCame for breakfast this morning with the family. Food was tasty, however there were a few small issues:
You only get ciabata bread as the toast (there should be an option of at least one type of brown bread, as not everyone eats white bread) the size of the slice of the ciabata was way too small (needs to be a little bit bigger so that the egg at least fits on the bread), we ordered 4 farmhouse breakfast and on the menu it states you get 3 rashers of bacon, but each of us only got 2 rashers. We ordered 4 extra chips with the farmhouse breakfast, but came halfway through the meal. Ordered a salad, but the kitchen couldn't make it. Order was written down by the waitress, but wasn't 100% correct, had to ask for ordered extras after the breakfast came. I requested chutney, but they didnt have any available, which is a bit odd.
We asked for tomato sauce, and got like 25ml, which doesn't go far for a table of 7 so had to ask a few times, perhaps a bottle for the table...
Read moreBanhoek Chilli Oil Company is a must-visit for foodies and families alike. You'll get breathtaking views and one can even sit on a giant wooden chair, which made for a fun and unique photo spot. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, offering a delicious menu with something for everyone, including a kiddies’ menu.
The chilli oil tasting was a highlight – we loved sampling the different flavours, especially the Garlic and Chipotle oils. The kids had an amazing time on the playground, complete with a sandpit, jungle gym, and even a water tap for making mud (a big hit!).
The staff were super friendly and even assisted with a plaster (and re-assuring words) when my little one hurt her foot. We also couldn’t resist taking home a few bottles of their exclusive oils, which are perfect for cooking and gifting.
This place truly has it all: great food, stunning views, and a family-friendly atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back! 🌶️👏...
