Dropped by Brown Hands Baekje café, the perfect spot to chill while waiting for dinner! This beautiful café is inside a renovated 1920s hospital building—the very first Western hospital in Busan, now registered as a national heritage property. The interior oozes timeless vintage vibes, surprisingly spacious and cool. ⚡️🏛️

Staff were super friendly and attentive—made the visit even better! Enjoyed a bowl of cold Häagen-Dazs ice cream paired with a warm cup of peppermint tea. The combo was refreshing and comforting at the same time, and honestly, Häagen-Dazs is always a winner. 🍨🍃

옛 백제병원(釜山舊百濟病院)은 부산역 맞은편 , 부산 최초로 건립된 근대식 개인종합병원으로 4층 벽돌 건물이다. 당시 부산부립병원, 철도병원과 함께 부산지역에서 가장 중요한 의료기관 건축물로 근대사의 가치가 있다. 의사 최용해가 1927년 2월과 12월에 각각 건립된 후 두 동이 하나로 합쳐진다. 건물 내부 평면이 사각형, 마름모꼴 형태의 개인 종합병원으로 개업하였다.

The former Baekje Hospital is the first modern private general hospital in Busan, opposite Busan Station, and is a four-story brick building. At that time, along with Busan Prefectural Hospital and Railroad Hospital, it was the most important medical institution building in the Busan area and has a value in modern history. Doctor Yonghae Choi was built in February and December 1927, respectively, and then the two buildings were merged into one. It was opened as a private general hospital in the shape of a square and diamond shape inside the building.
