My goodness! Google, I finally found the place I had dinner for more than two occasions while in Busan! (I can barely read hangul.) This is one of the most down to earth restaurant in Busan. Apparently, it is open 24/7. The first time I had no idea what and how to order. Later I learned that they have menus in English and Japanese. It is sort of self service place. You go to a counter, take a glass from a UV radiated cooler, and pour water by yourself from the dispenser. Utensils are not on the table nor are brought to you. There are drawers on the sides of the table where you find whatever you need. It seems that everybody knows this! So you watch and learn. You grab a printed pad with all the food items listed (in hangul.) For the second time, I memorized what I wanted to order. It took me about ten minutes to find out my dish in the list. You hand it to the waitress and after a while you get what you ordered. Later I realize that you can grab the English (or Japanese) menu, point to whatever you want, and voila. Food is very cheap and abundant in Korea. So you can imagine how cheap this place can be. It is opposite the Busan Train Station. Truly, my best experience...
Read moreFor me (a tourist) the food was delicious but: rudeness at max level. OK I was the only foreigner there but how come the free appetisers gave to me where less than half compared to the other customers all Koreans? Nobody told me anything about the self service water (I was expecting them to tell me, I am your guest after all!!!) . When I went to the counter to pay: I said IN KOREAN "i was sitting there and i pay by card" no response. And when she wanted to give me the debit card back, to avoid any "contact with a caucasian" the lady dropped the card and I had to take it up. She didn't try to pick it up. Rudeness at max level. Avoid this place if you can. It looks like they dislike foreigners. But remember, I am in Korea for over a month, I spent time around plenty of cities. This was the only time I felt discriminated. So please don't think of all Koreans as racist. They are incredibly friendly. Not...

We came here for the bibimbap, and it was honestly one of the best we had in Busan. Tasty, filling, and exactly what you want from a no-frills Korean meal. It’s also one of the few places we found that does bibimbap really well, without needing to go to a fancy restaurant.
We actually found this place on the Naver app (which locals use for maps and reviews), and it definitely lived up to the rating. The place is simple and busy, but the food comes out fast and the service is quick. If you’re after proper local food that won’t break the bank, this place is a...
