I have always loved Korean version of Fried Chicken, but could only taste what have been offering else where, except Korea. Finally i get to taste the famous Korean Fried Chicken by Kyochon in Korea!
Well, they serve the best Korean styled Fried Chicken that i have tasted so far. Ordered their “Tender And Crispy Boneless Chicken Thigh with Cheongyang Chilli Pepper’s Spicy Taste” on 1st day. The double fried chicken skin totally blew my mind.. its so crispy and flavourful with their spicy sauce coated. The chicken thigh beneath the incredible Crispy crust were also tender with traces of mild seasoning.
Ordered their “Tender And Crispy Boneless Chicken Thigh with Soy Garlic” on 2nd Day. Skin is also Crispy and Flavourful but too salty for my liking. Chicken Thighs are as tender as their spicy crust counter-part.
Tried their Chips with Cassava Chips on 2nd Visit, its worth every cents for 6000 Won… well fried and given generous amount of salted cheese powder 👍🏻 Cheese Balls and Cinnamon Twisted Donut are also worth trying.
One set back of Kyochon is that they dont serve their fried chicken (Wings) in smaller portion, just enough for a single patron. So it can be too heavy for a person to finish a Standard portion, good enough for 2 or 3 persons. I had to order Chicken Thighs instead of Chicken Wings which i prefered.
Will try to return again and also continue to search for shops that can beat their version of Fried Chicken in Korea.

Read moreOrdering was a bit confusing at the Seomyeon Kyochon branch. I wanted to order boneless half and half chicken with honey garlic and soy sauce, but the menu only showed “boneless pork.” When I asked the staff, she said that option wasn’t available. Later I asked again if they really serve pork, and she said no. I thought it might be a translation issue, so I tried to translate it from Korean and from Chinese with different translation apps, but it still said boneless pork everywhere. Very confusing, but I ordered it anyway.
Of course, it turned out to be boneless chicken, and it was great as usual. Not quite as good as in the Seoul branch, and the pieces seemed smaller, but still tasty. The fried rice was also a bit different than in Seoul but decent. The radish was really good, not as super sour or sweet as it usually is. I also liked the fresh chips they served before the meal, which we didn’t get in Seoul.
Overall, a good experience, but not quite as great as the one we...
Read moreThe service here was terrible. We went for take-out, and the waitress (A) told us the order would take 30 minutes. After 40 minutes, we asked about our order, and she said it wasn't ready yet. We waited another 10 minutes, asked again, and got the same response. Meanwhile, orders placed after ours were being served.
We finally asked another waitress (B) to check, and she found that our order hadn’t even been placed! Waitress (A) admitted she missed it but asked us to wait another 50 minutes. It's fine to miss orders, it happens, but asking customers to wait that long again is unreasonable. This was a very...
