Perhaps because we ordered only a small amount of food, one of the staff rolled her eyes and made an indescribably disdainful sound.
Her hostility was so obvious that ignoring it would have felt like disrespecting ourselves. So, we chose to acknowledge her rudeness and respond appropriately—we decided to leave. At that point, our food had just been ordered, and we hadn’t even touched the side dishes or water. However, the staff refused to let us cancel the order and became even more aggressive, as if she were the one being wronged.
Before leaving, I used a translation app to tell her that her rude attitude made us feel uncomfortable, but she simply nodded impatiently.
