하이타이 [Hi Thai] — Restaurant in Daegu

The place is a hidden gem of Thai cousine in Daegu. The food has just the right amount of flavor and the right level of spice. The curry, sour soup, and pad thai were delicious. The portion is for 1 person, but if you are here with 2 or more then there are small bowls to share. That is another thing; seating area. It is a small restaurant with 5 tables, 2-4 person per tables. Expect the wait to be seated at around 10-15 min dyring morning/lunch time. BUT they cook fast because the server takes your order while you wait for a table and by the time you sit, the food arrives hot in 5 minutes. I had lunch there today and the day was beautiful. I got the curry chicken fried rice and it was only 10,000 won! It was pretty amazing. I will definitely add this to one of my favorite noon time eateries and escape from work. It’s just down the road from where I work. The place is quite small with only three tables however they make up for it with friendly attitude and good food. I am a vegetarian and in Korea it can be hard to find places that have options or really understand what that means. The people here were very nice and even offered to take the fish sauce out of my pad thai. The spring rolls were very good and I enjoyed the Cozy atmosphere. I think I will be coming here again next time...
