유명통닭 — Restaurant in Daegwannyeong-myeon

I picked up fried chicken from the store and the owner was friendly. He tried to strike up a conversation and offered us an alternative when we told him not to include the coke that came with the meal. The fried chicken, however, was not good, being very greasy and not well prepared. Even though the chicken was deep-fried with batter, it should not have been greasy if the oil had been at the right temperature. In this case, it was clearly not. The batter that coated the chicken was also very thick which soaked with more grease than it probably should have been. As we ordered the version without sauces, the fried chicken came with chilly sauce, a packet of honey mustard and a packet of salt. The chilli sauce tasted more like red-colored, sweet ginger sauce. The ginger taste was overpowering and the spice from chilli was lacking but the sweetness from the sugar was generous. The chilli sauce was bad! Overall, this fried chicken that we had definitely did not live up to the high Google rating it was given. I definitely will not...

간혹 별점 하나가 보이는데.. 솔직히 이해가 안됩니다. 인천에서 놀러갔다가 우연히 알게 된 집인데, 주말이면 간간히 생각이 날 정도로 맛있었습니다. 2번 갔는데 2번다 매우 만족했으니 우연히 만족했던 것은 아니었을 거고요. 소스는 한약재 향기가 좀 있어 호불호가 갈릴 수 있는데, 그냥 머스터드 찍어 먹어도 맛있을 듯 합니다. 고기 푸짐하고 바삭바삭하게 잘 튀기고, 튀김옷 맛있고 게다가 양도 아주 푸짐하고... 어쨌든 왠만한 대도시 동네 치킨집 보다는 훨 낫습니다. 사진은 첫 방문 때, 아이들과 절반 쯤 먹다가 찍은 사진입니다. 반을 먹었는데도, 왠만한 다른 집...

닭강정 보다는 반반을 추천한다. 대관령에 사는 친구가 추천해준 치킨집. 이 근처에서 다른 브랜드 치킨집보다 훨씬 더 맛있다고 해서 숙소들어가기 전 안주로 사갔다. 근처에서 저녁 먹고 안주로 사가기 참 좋은 집이라고 생각한다. 가마솥에 튀겨서 더 고온 고압에 튀겨져 그 특유의 껍질 식감이 있다. 껍질이 딱딱이라고 생각할 정도로 바삭하게 튀겨져 나오는데 그게 참 별미였다. 염지 정도나 살짝 매콤하고 카레 간이 살짝 되어있는 간이 참 좋았다. 양념통닭이 후라이드보다 더 맛있었다. 식어도 참 맛있는 치킨. 잠들기 아쉬운 숙소에서 술먹는 사람들에겐...
