My introduction to Gallery Bobs came through the Netflix show "Single Inferno," and my curiosity immediately piqued. So, when the opportunity arose to visit Gangneung, this charming cafรฉ was right at the top of my must-visit list. I eagerly ordered their signature beverages, the "Sweet Corn Cream Iced Coffee" and the "Sweet Corn Cream Coffee Ice Cream." Both were delightful, but the sweet corn coffee stole the show. It's wonderfully thick and has a unique texture, allowing you to savor the sweetness of corn and the underlying maltiness, which took me back to the sweet corn milk I made for a school project in my youth โ perhaps their secret recipe too?
Now, if you're not a fan of sweet coffee, well, we can still be friends, but you might want to steer clear of this one. It leans towards the sweeter side, which might not suit every palate. I noticed some folks around me sticking with their trusty Americanos, but hey, no judgment there!
My affection for Gallery Bobs was so strong that I visited twice during my stay in Gangneung. I know I'll miss it when I leave. During my first visit, there was a considerable line forming even half an hour before opening. However, when I returned for a second visit around 3 pm, there was no queue in sight.

He was not there unfortunately but the sweet corn coffee was in itself still worthy of the hype!! Itโs more of a dessert coffee than anything, with a frothy syrupy layer of sweet corn + espresso topped over a small cup of cold milk! And yes, follow the instructions and just sip without stirring itโs the best way to taste the corn!
Their buttercream biscuit was great with a light buttercream filling. And get their signature salt bread...
ย ย ย Read moreCame all the way here from Seoul for this cafe due to Singles Inferno. Is it worth it? Hell no. But you know, you still want to try despite the hassle. I recommend to just take a taxi from Gangneung Station. The Corn Coffee is 6000โฉ, really expensive, and the cup size is like 200ml (smaller than a can drink). The Corn Foam-Syrup on top taste exactly what it should taste like, sweet corn. Coffee, I still prefer Maxim. I would just get one to share. The Corn Ice Cream taste better. And the Salt Bread taste like any of those you could...
