This was my first meal on Jeju Island. It was also the only restaurant that we made a return visit before leaving the island. Two of the staff there speaks Chinese and so ordering is not a problem.
I especially recommend their abalone porridge (pro tip: upsize to 16000 won for more abalone slices) and their grilled mackerel. The former is fragrant and cooked with real abalone slices. Donny be put off by the colour of the porridge. Itโs full of umami.
The mackerel is also full of flavour and oily from the fish fats released from grilling. Honestly I could have finished the fish by myself, in spite of its size.
Seafood Jjigae was acceptable taste with 3 abalones, two shrimps, one conch and half a flower crab. Value for money. Sea weed soup came with chunk of sea urchin.
Total cost of the meal was 67000 won. A steal.
A bit out of the way nearer to the airport but not if you drive in Jeju....
