Grilled Black Pork Jip Hayeong — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Nothing special about the food or service or ambience.

Experience with the food was rather negative. We ordered a whole pork BBQ set. The pork belly was unclean and still had lots of hair embedded within the fat and especially the skin. Taste was very average.

The side dishes were also below average. At this point, we've had a lot of kimchi and we love kimchi. But this restaurant's kimchi was very watery and strangely seasoned. Other pickled veggie side dishes were very basic. We've just had much better side dishes from other Korean restaurants.

Table beside us also didn't finish their meat at all....left with meat uncooked.

My alternative recommendation: 하남돼지집 (Hannam Pig) restaurants are sooooo much better. Tastier meat, cleaner meat, better service, better side dishes, better main dishes,...

Great restaurant, good Korean barbeque food with black pork as their speciality. Front entrance is by a flight of steps which may be intimidating for those with impaired mobility but there is a side entrance that leads directly to the restaurant. The service was exceptional. Arrived at 8pm and the restaurant was full house! Waited for 15 min and lucky us got a table as a group left. Ordered the combo set together with the seafood stew!
