Tropical Hideaway Cafe — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Great place to stop for delish food and drinks with awesome views! We were looking for a restaurant to enjoy a beer and light snack in the late afternoon. It's located on the ground level of the Tropical Hideaway Hotel.

This restaurant has coffee drinks but also a full bar with many local and international beers on tap.

Food was great! We ordered seafood (shrimp & calamari) fry combo with fries which were spiced to perfection. The calamari was a bit chewy but that could be local preference. It was still delicious. We didn't order it but the Ceasar salad looked really good. Many other items on the menu plus they have a nice selection of pastries and to-go cookies (locally made) that also look yummy.

Views were awesome and the indoor decor was so nice and trendy. Very spacious, too. Easy parking but it's also not high season currently. Would consider staying at the hotel esp. since the food...

The place felt open and spacious thanks to the large parking lot and wide store layout. It had a nice view and a calm vibe—seems like a good spot to bring parents.

We ordered the crab roe rosé pasta and the hummus & mushroom sandwich. One thing that was a bit disappointing: I noticed some of the food in the kitchen looked like it was pre-made, and I got the feeling ours was too—even though there were only about four tables at the time.

Also, you have to pick up your own food, and our table hadn’t been cleaned when we sat down. Considering the price (₩34,000), I wasn’t sure if it was really worth it.

It’s a hotel. Food is great! However, higher prices and you expect nice service. Was hoping to take my wife out for a celebratory meal for a great vacation.

Thai curry crab 💯 Black pork carbonara was good

Drinks were fine.

My suggestion for the restaurant is do not take a reservation for 7 PM if you do not want to continue serving your guest past 8PM.

We found the service rude, unwelcoming and non courteous. Felt a strange amount of judgement. With a larger bill I give the service a 0.0 and the food 5
