건대양꼬치 동북풍미양꼬치 — Restaurant in Seoul

This is a great place to get some lamb skewers on the area's "lamb skewer alley". The meat is good quality, juicy and tasty with no gnarly bits. Ordering is done via tablet and there are options to view the menu in English, Japanese and Chinese as well as in Korean, although you just get the dish name, not any description.

The meat is cooked over a hot bed of coals on skewers which rotate back and forth to cook the meat evenly without you having to do it constantly. Then when the meat is cooked and you can put them on the metal rack above the fire to keep them warm.

We got some lamb skewers, stir fried eggplant, mapo tofu and a pancake with drinks. They were delicious. The eggplant was coated with starch and crispily fried and then tossed in a soy based sauce. The mapo tofu was nicely spiced. The pancake went nicely with the meat and the spiced tofu.

To finish things off we got some naengmyon and warm noodles. There are various rice dishes and mala pots available...
