솔솥 교대역점 — Restaurant in Seoul

This new restaurant seems to be very hot in the area because I came at 11:20 am and had to wait for 40 minutes to get a table. I could see a longer waiting line even when I went out after Lunch.

Abalone (전복솥밥, 16K KRW) and Eel Pot Rice (민물장어솥밥, 25K) are ordered. Ingredients are plentiful and Scorched Rice with hot water on the Pot is also nice. Price are reasonable and it tastes good as if it is worth waiting for a long time. Side dish of Chinese fried chicken with hot and sour soy sauce (유린기, 75K) is crispy and tasty. Tables for 4 are rather tight for 4 person and it would have been better if they were more spacious.

For lunch, they do not accept the reservation, but for Dinner and weekend, the reservation is possible. There are small parking lots. Staffs are young...

Was told that the Gyodae branch was not very known to tourists and didn’t have to wait too long for a table, and it was true. We got a seat immediately and had our food served very quickly. The rice was appetising after mixing the egg yolk, butter, sesame, green onions and the salty sauce all together, giving it a strong taste. The beef was a bit chewy. And after eating most of the rice, the second way to enjoy the meal was to add some stock to the scorched rice, making it a rice soup. The rice soup was a totally different taste as it was very light, but could add some kimchi or side dishes to add...

The food is great. but it could've been better if we couldn't see the dishwasher keep on putting things on the kitchen floor and pick it up and put it in the dishwasher...
