Won’t comment much about the food cause everybody tastes different. I come here to talk about the service attitude. When we first came in the restaurant and politely asked for seat in English, the male waiter already showed a bad attitude by keep saying korean and act like don’t want to serve. Not sure if he is only doing this to foreigners, or all customers include korean. But It actually ruined all the expectations to this shop start from beginning . But it’s ok, then we just take picture like all the foreigners do, but he came to say, “no picture”.What the hell? Why cant we take pictures for memories? Why there’s so many restrictions when we just want to enjoy our food? Are your restaurants some kind of palace or USA zone 51?Why other Youtubers can film your shop while normal tourists like us cannot? Is it called double standard? But it’s ok, we followed and did not take any other pictures after that. Then after finishing the food, we went to pay and guess what, he didn’t even say thank you and act like we owe him $1million. FYI, we asked and reacted things politely all the way from the very beginning, and he is not, and he kept showing his bad attitude. Who is the customer now? Read moreIf you want to try soy marinated crab at least once, this place will not disappoint. Heard that it is on par with Michelin-1 star but can’t comment since this is my first time.
A friend tried this dish at some other place and was very turned off by the dish saying it smelled like a seafood market but this place has changed his mind about this!
It is my first time trying this dish and I enjoyed it given it’s not a dish that I have tasted from other cuisines. Obviously it was salty given its marinated in soy sauce but damn, it goes really well with rice. Order extra rice if needed.
On the pricier end, 57k for single serving (includes rice, side dishes and soup). It’s 110k for two servings iirc on the menu. But that’s pretty much the standard price for this.
We wanted to order a serve of the soy marinated crab and a serve of the spicy marinated crab but they came to us saying the “spicy marinated crab is not tasting right at the moment” so they don’t want to serve it and gave us a free grilled fish instead.
Sodium overload after the meal but highly recommend to try this out at least once...
Read moreCame one year ago and was thoroughly impressed then. Had lunch last year in June and today, in 2023 November, came for dinner. Quite a different experience. Perhaps due to the fact that they are super busy on a Monday evening. We reached around 5:30pm on a wet and cold autumn evening. The restaurant is already filling up. We were shown to their “room”. We promptly ordered. Excited to try their soy marinated crabs again. A bit disappointed to observe that the crabs seemed overly salty this time round and we struggled to finish our 4 crabs amongst the 3 of us.
We learnt they do not serve grilled mackerel during dinner service. Oh well! The other thing to note is that there is this grumpy young man who will keep coming around to ensure we are not taking any photos or videos. So foodies out there - do take note!
Used to be our must-visit for Seoul but at this price and service, might need to start hunting for...
